Yummy - Edit
What a gem! A very extensive menu. We went on a Thursday night around 6pm and they were BUSY. Unsure if that’s normal but it took a bit for everything (menus/ordering/food/bill). I will def go back to try more yummy vegan dishes.

Fully vegan, authentic Thai place - Edit
This is a very authentic Thai place in Chinatown, the type that you would not expect to be vegan. Good food, very (too big) menu. It’s probably a good idea to order common dishes to make sure you get fresh ingredients and they actually have them.

Meh - Edit
Underwhelming. Food and ambiance wasn’t anything exciting. Got the ginger chicken which was listed as “moderately spicy” (2/3 on their spicy scale) and it wasn’t spicy AT ALL (unless you count ginger slices as spicy lol). Beef in the noodles was tasteless. It’s kinda awkwardly quiet without any music playing.

Lovely meal - Edit
I went for 12pm and got the lunch deal - a main meal, 2 dumplings and a spicy soup for $11.50. It was all delicious (I had the mango curry) and I would definitely go back again.

It's up to you! - Edit
DISCLAIMER: Because the menu is so varied, my review may be biased as I only tried 1 starter ("chicken" fingers) and 2 main courses (Pineapple fried rice and "Beef" with broccoli).
Read moreIt is a different restaurant that at first glance can impress you with its particular interior decoration full of plants, it looks like a restaurant in the middle of a garden on the third floor (it says second but you have to climb several stairs). The service is so-so and the atmosphere is not as inviting as other restaurants I've been to. The menu is huge and very well explained, portion sizes are large, however the food is not for all types of people as some dishes are greasy and plain. If I had no other choice for food, I would come back here.
Pros: Well explained menu, Lots of options, Portions size
Cons: Service, Greasy food

Needs improvement - Edit
I pulled up here based off of proximity to my hotel and being highly reviewed. The food was ok. We ordered the spring rolls, the dumplings, and pumpkin curry. The spring rolls were probably the worst I’ve ever had with the peanut sauce being way too soupy for my liking. The dumplings were artery-clogging greasy. You could press your fork to them and watch the grease surface. The pumpkin curry, on the other hand, was delicious! It came in a pumpkin and it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed.

Amazing Thai food! - Edit
Whenever I have a bad day and want to treat myself I order from this restaurant. Their “tofu cigars” (#6) always hit the spot and my favorite is the Rad Nar Noodles Plus (#69). This place will forever have my heart 🫶🏼

This place is the best!! - Edit
I LOVE this restaurant. Can’t say enough good things about them. Food is always very fresh, and cooked perfectly. They have 100 options to choose from, so you could eat here everyday and not get bored. The lunch specials are super cheap and portions are massive. If the wouldn’t wasn’t so delicious I’d have enough leftovers for another meal every time. 10/10 recommend!

food is ok - Edit
I was really excited to try an all vegan chinese resturant! I am so greatful that this was in boston however the food was a little bland. In addition, it made me upset that they are using terms like “duck” and “veal” I don’t want to eat any mock-ups of these animals and just seeing the words on the menu rubbed me the wrong way😒

I wish it was better - Edit
I’m happy this place exists but I was not impressed. And I’ll let you know that it’s very difficult for me to give less than 4 stars to an all vegan restaurant. They could use to reinvent the menu and flavors. The summer rolls and peanut sauce were flavorless.

All vegan thai food in Chinatown - Edit
There aren’t too many other options in Chinatown for all vegan food. My Thai Vegan Cafe have an extensive menu though. The stairwell leading up to the restaurant is a bit shabby but don’t let that put you off. We had the Tom Yaung Goon soup, beef(less) Penang and steamed dumplings all to share between two. The soup was head and shoulders the best, definitely recommend, it’s plant based shrimp had unbelievable texture and the sweet Thai Basil and anise spices really ooze max flavour on your tastebuds. Other portions were also nice but I went previously and preferred the tofu chicken to the seitan beef as the tofu had better texture IMO. My partner thought the chilli ratings didn’t quite match the spiciness, the soup was a lot hotter than the Penang which was rated 3 chillies, you could ask for extra spiciness if that’s what you’re after. Overall it’s worth trying, and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. The card machine wasn’t working so take cash, if you’re heading there in the next week or so.

Pretty Good Food - Edit
I’ve tried food from here twice (a few days apart). The first time I got one of the luncheon specials, which was pretty affordable for the area considering you get a meal, 2 dumplings (or 1 spring roll), and a cup of soup for $11.50. The special also comes with jasmine tea, but when I asked for it, they said they don’t include that when it’s warm outside (more of a winter thing). While I was there, something happened with their card reader or something, so they only accepted cash. Luckily, I had enough on me, but if I didn’t, I would’ve had to use an ATM, which I have no experience with.
Read moreThe second time I went, I ordered the Pad Woonsen, but I’m pretty sure they gave me the Rice Noodles (Vietnamese Style) instead. It was still delicious, of course, but I would’ve liked my ordered dish. I didn’t bring this up to them — perhaps they would’ve given me the right one if I have done so.

Came back here for tasty dumplings - Edit
Quiet controversial what people write here about this „Thai“ vegan cafe. I think you definetly should check it out, give it a go and make up your own mind. Nothing to loose here.
Read moreFood definetly is good. Maybe not 5stars but they are not claiming em.
They could definetly make a gem out of this place but I think the character of this place fits to chinatown in american cities and I love about it that those kind of places and raw people running it with all their heart, love for food and working hard still exist besides all those chains, big corps and fancy or insta worthy restaurants. So in it‘s own way it‘s a gem. But more chinese than thai to me. So i would also recommend go for the chinese kinda dishes. They defo good and worth trying.
I can‘t tell you any negatives. You gotta take it as it is. Either you like it or you ll never come back here. No worries. Both will be fine for the owners.
Me personally I would love to give 3 and a half stars. As it‘s totally better than only fair but very good is a bit too much for me compared to other places I have rated with 4 stars.
I grand the extra half star to their own unique charm of chinatown flair. This spot could be also in New York City

Hopefully, it's gotten better..... - Edit
I've eaten there twice.
Read moreThe first time was several years ago and, while I don't remember anything outstanding about it, other than that it was the only vegan place in the area, it was fine.
The second time was just a few years ago and the experience was just awful - about the worst I've ever had in any restaurant anywhere. My recollection of the reasons it was bad are mostly around the service, which was practically non-existent, from a disinterested staff who clamored together to chat at length, while ignoring the customers. I think our entire party was so annoyed and put off that I can't remember what we actually thought of the food.
Reading some of the other reviews on here that complain about how dirty the place was, reminds me that that, too, was a concern. It just had the overall look and feel of a dirty, unsanitary place that hadn't been kept up or cared for in years.
I tried to give them one star, but it defaults to two.
I hope that if they've changed ownership or management, they can (or perhaps have, already) make some major improvements to the place that includes training the staff how to be nice and responsive to the customers. If they do go under new management or ownership at some point, I would strongly encourage them to promote that fact heavily in their advertising because it seems like there're a lot of people who would never go back without such a change.
(I always like to support vegan restaurants because we need more of them. This is the only negative review I've ever written, but it needed to be said.)
Pros: Located in Chinatown, near theater district
Cons: I hesitate to use the word "service" because there, wasn't any, to speak of.

Fast - Edit
Even though this a good size restaurant the whole feel of the place was like a take out place.
Read moreA big space slightly unloved and a lot of the space used to store take out bags and trays.
I got summers rolls and Lo Mein (suggested by the staff). It arrived in about two minutes which is alway a worry.
The summer rolls were great and the peanut sauce tasty. The Lo Mein was not that great. Oily and too sweet. If I had delivery or take out this is the quality I would expect but for a restaurant I just feel it should be better.
Pros: Big menu, 100%
Cons: Too fast

Not the best. - Edit
The food that I order tasted bland. It wasn’t the best. I guess it’s a hit and miss on what you ordered. My husband and I order 4 dishes to try it out. We only finished 1 dish and the rest we took it home and added more seasoning to it. Not sure if I would come back and give it a second chance. They do have a lot of dishes on the menu tho.

convenient order - Edit
We went from NYC to Boston by bus and had about an hour to transfer in Boston. We ordered online from the bus and then picked up the food when we arrived, so this was very convenient. The food itself wasn't great. There was more rice than veggies in there and the noodle dish tasted sweet, which wasn't expected.
