Would give this place 5 stars if I could on Happy Cow. Looking for excellent, authentic, and highly vegan-friendly Thai food with phenomenally warm service & vibes, with a bonus view of the rising full moon at the right time? Look no further than My Thai. We loved the garlic noodles, garlic fried tofu, and the orange tofu bao buns with the vegan sriracha aioli. Can’t wait to go back and try the drunken noodles and some curries soon (we’re clearly committed to going back to this place in our short trip to Maui). P.S. Best QR/online menu ever.

I would give this five stars if I could. Delicious food and a funky atmosphere. It was busy with people, but the food was still very fast. I recommend the khao soi and the Thai iced tea. I will definitely be returning!

Couldn't give 5 stars because it's not completely vegan, but I would if I could! I got the orange tofu with garlic noodles and it was super yummy. I can never finish my entire plate when I go out to eat, but I scarfed this down. The staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere is also funky and fun lol

OMG, thank you Happy Cow community for leading us here, this place is amazing. Almost anything other than the strictly meat dishes can be ordered vegan, they are super accommodating. Nice, funky atmosphere, close to the airport so centrally located. Great for dine-in or take-out. Everything was great, very fresh and flavorful, but the pineapple fried rice (no egg, vegan) was spectacular, as was the papaya salad (no fish sauce, vegan) - which comes with a kick. Noodle and vegetable dishes and all the apps were super tasty. We’ll definitely eat here every time we’re on Maui. #Veganuary

From the first moment after arriving, things are weird. The owner, Matthew, is such a character and gives every customer the spiel about the ordering protocol. No one brings water....you have to purchase your own bottles of Costco water!!! No one brings silverware or napkins; you need to go to the counter and get your own plastic forks or chopsticks.

Meh: The Pad See Yew was just ok. The noodles were not the typical wide ones and rather hard. We're used to the wide white rice noodles that melt in your mouth.
Big con: EVERYTHING is served on aluminum foil (so unhealthy) and in disposable containers. THIS IS 2023 and filling up our landfills with tons of crap is heart-breaking.
There are no waiters or busers, and the customers are supposed to bus their own tables. Normally we tip generously but no one did anything to deserve it. The food isn't even brought to your table; Matthew sticks his head out of a hole in the wall and uses a microphone to have you come get your food. It's all VERY peculiar.

Great Thai food, almost anything can be made vegan. They’re really great about reassuring you that everything in your order is vegan. One of the owners is also vegan and very friendly - turns out he lived in my hometown at one point!

I wish I could give this place 5 stars because it was amazing, but apparently you can’t do that unless they’re completely vegan/vegetarian, but they might as well have been. I was able to eat almost anything I wanted on the menu, didn’t feel like I had limited options. Highly recommend this place!

Best Thai Food I've Ever Had - Edit
My husband and I thought this was the best Thai food we've ever had. My husband and I are both vegan and we found wonderful options there. We got the green curry and Tom Kah soup. Both were exquisite and there were large portions. We also had an exquisite l vegan dessert made from mangos, coconut cream, and I think some kind of sweet rice. Everything was stupendous. The location is a little bit surprising. It looks like a warehouse. But, there was plenty of open-air. Probably very good for staying safe from covid. The ordering was a bit strange for us. We don't do a lot of ordering via our phones. You had to scan a QR code and order online. It was very easy, but we missed that Personal Touch. Probably, though, it is safer with covid. There was a button you could press to ask questions if you need that. So, they probably took care of everything that you would absolutely need. We did not like that the program asked for a tip before you've ever been served. How do you know how much tip to give when you haven't seen what the service is like? I know that's probably the directional a lot of things are moving in today. For me it was a little uncomfortable to do it that way. That is probably my only complaint because everything else was fantastic. They were very friendly with the brief interactions we had. They serve your food through a window that is closed in between putting food out for folks.

This absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been here multiple times during our vacation and it’s a 30 minute drive for us. The staff has been exceptional and always friendly as well. If you are in the area definitely try this place out. Their menu doesn’t have a dedicated Vegan section, but some of their items are mentioned as “Vegan (optional)” or have an actual drop-down option for Vegan on the Toast app

Really friendly staff with spicy authentic dishes. Convenient location close to the airport. I tried the orange tofu garlic noodles which were great. One person I was with said the bao buns were the best they've ever had.

The best Thai food I've ever experienced. We tried 4 or 5 vegan dishes and they were all amazing. Upbeat, happy staff despite (or perhaps in part because of) their crazy contactless system (speakers, QR codes, etc.), which ironically is quite a blast. HappyCow doesn't allow ratings above 4 for non-veg restaurants, otherwise would definitely have rated as 5.

I had the Penang curry with sticky rice, level 2 heat. I could def have gone up a notch in heat. Want to come back and get the orange tofu with noodles and a Thai iced tea or coffee. So thankful to have a vegan option in Kahului! Also, they deliver and you can BYOB
