Good food, good view

The restaurant offers some vegetarian and vegan dishes in addition to Hummus, Babaganoush, etc.
The prices are higher due to its location very close to the the Petra entrance. The terrace is comfortable and the view is nice.

Good traditional food

Good place to go with friends who are not vegetarian. Good food, good service, nice rooftop terrace. It was very full when we came here.

Pros: Bediening, Rooftop

Underwhelmed

This restaurant was very large with a rooftop area which we choose to eat in.

It was extremely busy and felt a bit chaotic with other people’s food being delivered to us and no one asking if we wanted mains.

The food was decidedly average and a bit bland. We wouldn’t revisit.

Pros: Rooftop terrace, Stairwell is intriguing

Cons: Bland food , Chaotic service

Definitely no good at all

As I read here, that they offer vegan options, we went to try. I ordered the moussaka without cheese, and of course it came with cheese on top. They returned it and then gave me another one, which wasn't even luke warm. My two other friends aren't vegan, but they weren't happy either. When asking about the bread they had massive issues to figure out if it had milk in it. Then finally they offered the glutenfree version, which didn't contain milk.

Pros: Close to petra visitor centre

Cons: Food not warm, not even luke warm, Didn't taste nice

Very cosy and good quality food

I took the fresh lemon mint juice to drink (very tasty!) and the moussaka but without cheese. You can tell that they use good and fresh products, delicious! You get also some flatbread with olive oil and zatar for starter hmmm.

Great veggie/vegan choices

My Moms Recipe is just outside of Petra. The prices are really decent considering the touristy area. It is decorated like a Bedouin tent and is super welcoming. They had a separate veggie/vegan menu, which was really helpful and the staff had a great understanding of veganism. They were able to veganise the moussaka for us and it was delicious! We also had the veggie galaya, tabboulleh, Baba ganoush and mutabel along with flatbread and some Turkish coffee, all amazing!

Good options

Veggie/vegan page labelled on the menu, and they can make some of the veggie options vegan by not involving cheese (that was the case with my moussaka). Their standard bread isn’t vegan but they’ll bring an alternative if you explain you can’t have dairy.

Fine food but expensive

There is some vegan food like hummus, baba gunnush in the menu but they don't say it is vegan. Options in the vegan menu are traditional middle eastern food (not something they make vegan) and it is much more expensive than the others.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Expensive

Traditional style restaurant with many vegan options

This is a perfect place with vegan options, only steps away from Petra. This place is SOO nicely decorated with the Jordanian look and style. The service was awesome here. All of the waiters were very attentive and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.

The bread and zatar were amazzzzing! We also ordered baba ganaouj, mutabol, mussaka, hummus, green salad and a nice pasta with veggies. We asked for the cook to leave out the oil, so that was nice that he did that for us.

We had no problems finding vegan options, which was so nice for us! We highly recommend this place at least once. The atmosphere is unlike any other place around and it truly feels like you are having an authentic Jordanian experience.

Pros: Vegan options , Just steps from Petra , Traditional, cozy ambient

Pricey

The mousaka was lovely- came with rice and we also ordered one rocket side salad. We had bread and dhuka spices to start, which was free. 2 mains plus a coke and a black tea all came to $28JD which seemed a lot but the restaurant is right by the main tourist area so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pros: Tasty , A lot of food , Quick service

Cons: Expensive , Staff not 100% sure what vegan meant

Sensational!

Please note the hummus here is NOT vegan, and it's not vegan in many places in Jordan. Often there is yoghurt in it, please check.

We had the Turkish salad (it's a condiment/dip), baba ganooj, okra and galeya. Everything was delicious, and the pita was freshly made and outstanding.

The rooftop location was breezy and had a nice view. The staff are friendly. Highly recommend!

Pros: Delicious

Cons: The hummus is not vegan

Musaka is amazing!

They have tons of vegan dips as well as a couple vegan mains and a traditional dessert as well. Didn’t get any photos because I ate too quickly. 😋
