Eek roaches - Edit
I used to go here every Thursday as date night with the bf until one night it was busy, we had not so great service (despite being regulars) and the cherry on top was the roach that fell from the ceiling right next to my bfs empty bowl of ramen.
Read moreBf used to work pest control, where there’s 1 roach there are hundreds more. Tasty ramen but BEWARE.
Pros: Vegan ramen
Cons: Mediocre service, Roach infestation

One of my favorite places in puyallup for vegan food - Edit
Puyallup doesn’t have many vegan options besides fast food (Taco Bell, chipotle) so it’s much appreciated that they have vegan options. The ramen is good but the scallion pancakes are ridiculously good.

Highly recommend! - Edit
It's such nice surprise to see a restaurant openly list vegan-optional dishes! There are fully vegan versions of their ramen and Japanese curry. Very yummy - our new favorite!

Many food options, poor parking options - Edit
They had at least 5 clearly marked vegan options (3 apps, 2 entrees), and it was DELICIOUS. Their vegan curry bowl was so big I couldn't finish it, and their vegan agedashi tofu was extremely flavorful. The only drawback was a very tiny parking lot (4 spaces out front) that you had to back into ol the busy road to fry out of. I recommend parking on the nearby side street and walking.

Hidden Gem! - Edit
Our experience has always been that the staff are well versed in what is and is not vegan and we have never had any problems. For example, a dish we ordered that normally comes sprinkled with bonito (fish flakes) was sprinkled with tempura crumbs as a way for the kitchen to indicate to the server that this dish was the veganized version. The food has always been very well prepared, fresh, and very tasty. I highly recommend giving My Lil Cube a try.

One vegan option, high risk cross contamination - Edit
This place is cute but definitely not for vegans, they have one vegan option but it is cooked in the same pot as the meat so I wouldn’t recommend it for strict vegans or vegetarians who are sensitive to cross contamination. I wish that restaurants were more aware of this and stopped falsely advertising to vegans.

Super tasty and great value! - Edit
Not sure why everyone is describing this place as having “few” vegan options?? We were expecting so little based on the reviews and ended up being really impressed! They had as least two different ramens and two different udon soups that could be made vegan. They also have agedashi tofu, potato croquettes, edamame, and vegetable tempura as vegan small plate options and a Japanese curry as another entree option in addition to the aforementioned soups.
Read moreWe ordered the miso ramen, nabeyaki udon, edamame, agedashi tofu, and tempura. The food was beautifully presented and so very tasty. I would have expected to pay 50-60% more than they charge given the quality of the food and preparation. The portions were substantial but not obscene. For example, the $7 tempura came with two (large) pieces each of sweet potato, zucchini, broccoli, onion, and taro root. (Taro root!!)
My only regret is not trying this place sooner. A real gem in downtown Puyallup!
Pros: Lots of tasty vegan options!, Vegan-izable options clearly marked, High quality
Cons: Small dining room

Favorite place for vegan ramen!! - Edit
They may only have a few vegan options but what they do offer is AMAZING!! The vegetable croquettes (ask for them vegan) are the best ones I've had from numerous ramen joints. If you like spicy ask for their special chili paste that they make, but beware. Its hot!

Some Vegan Options - Edit
We went with a group of plant eaters. Most were not impressed with the selection. Most everything has gluten (ramen noodles). I ordered the soup without the noodles, assuming there would be a few extra veggies. Nope. Two mushrooms and a little brocolli and mushrooms looked very lonely. The broth was extremely salty. Maybe some nice fresh spring rolls would be a good addition. Also, service, the first in our group of 5 got her meal a good 10 minutes (tempura) before the last one (soup). Can't imagine (with all the complaints) anyone from the group would return.
