Vegetarian friendly Southern food - Edit

One of the best in Nyack. We went as two couples, one vegetarian, one not. The staff was very attentive to dietary needs and knew their menu well. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I enjoyed the vegan chicken and waffles which captured the spirit of fried chicken in both form and taste. Collard greens were well cooked and spiced; and the sweet potato muffins were moist and flavorful. My wife tried the vegetarian shrimp and grits and had rave reviews as well.

Delicious but way overpriced - Edit

I would be eating here often if I could afford it. The prices are about a third higher than most of the overpriced restaurants in Nyack. I have nothing negative to say about the food or service which are both excellent.

Pros: The food particularly the seitan chicken, The service , The atmosphere

Cons: The prices are out of reach for me and most people

No vegan options! - Edit

This place has vegan items listed that are not vegan. For instance, they claim to have vegan shrimp and grits, but only the shrimp is vegan. The grits are not!! Don’t waste your time.

AMAZING FOOD! - Edit

Blown away by the food at My Fathers House, the brunch menu is more limited than the dinner menu I believe but everything was amazing! The vegan chicken made with seitan is the best I’ve had in my 15 years of being vegan, my husband was raving about it! The owner and staff are lovely as well, we will definitely come back soon!
