Great vegan options and friendly staff/atmosphere - Edit
Wir können das Museumscafé Flossenbürg sehr empfehlen. Nicht nur für Veganer eine Offenbarung! Liebevoll, wertschätzend und immer geduldig wird man bedient, die Crew um Christine ist immer freundlich und professionell. Die vegane Auswahl und Qualität ist außerordentlich und in Nordbayern wohl kaum zu topen.

Es gibt eine sehr große Auswahl an veganen deftigen Speisen, Kuchen, Torten, etc. Auf Nachfrage werden auch sehr unkompliziert noch mehr Alternativen angeboten. Und sehr sehr lecker!!

Friendly staff - Edit
This is a café at the museum, but non-visitors are welcome. The menu always has vegan mains such as wraps, burgers and pasta dishes, and some other items can be made vegan upon request. Often there are vegan cakes too, but not always, so take this as a bonus rather than an expectation. The two managers are very familiar with vegan cuisine and always happy to help. Portion sizes are good and the food always tastes fresh, whilst the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Groups visiting the memorial can arrange for a buffet-style meal or lunch boxes, usually booked through the museum itself.
Read moreNote that many of the staff have disabilities such as Down's Syndrome, and the policies and atmosphere are very supportive of them. I always enjoy chatting to the employees who are all very friendly and motivated, and in my opinion very efficient. Sometimes a little patience is needed, but overall the service is great - far better than I would do as a waitress - and derogatory comments are not tolerated.
Pros: welcoming atmosphere, fast service, staff familiar with veganism
Cons: not fully vegan, difficult to get to by public transport
