Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian food restaurant. Menu has vegetarian dishes and staff understands what vegan means. Open Mon-Sun 13:00-15:30, 19:00-23:30.
Ask the waiter what is and isn’t vegan and they will advise. Not friendly. - Edit
The waiter wasn’t friendly but was helpful when I asked about vegan options. We weren’t made to feel comfortable. Maybe it was because we were a same sex couple?
Nearly all the curries come as Vegitarian, they said they do not cook with Ghee and were very happy to make sure our chosen meals were Vegan. They informed us which bread we can have that did not contain milk and all the food was absolutely delicious.
Amazing find! We turned up quite late to a very busy bubbling restaurant, they were so friendly and accommodating - they squeezed us in. Food was fresh and full of flavour and considering how busy it was we didn't wait too long.
Most importantly, they could recommend and were hot on vegan alternatives and were really cool with us asking lots about the food.
There was so much choice and they even offered to tweak anything we wanted but it wasn't full vegan.
Absolutely can't wait to come back and work our way through the menu!
The staff at this restaurant completely understand the vegan diet and even double checked if there were other foods we could not eat. Our lunch was delicious and now I am on a quest to see if I can find a better baingan bharta anywhere in Spain.
When our bill came we were surprised at how small it was for such abundant deliciousness. We paid double at the coast a couple of days before for a very nice but costly lunch.
So the message is: head inland, find your way to Coin and treat yourself to wonderful Indian vegan food at Mumtaz Mahal.
Indian food is always great for vegan options, and this restaurant never fails on taste, choice, value for money and great staff who totally vegan aware.
I been hundreds of times over the years.
