⛄️Winter Solstice Tea⛄️ - Edit
Muir's Tea Room is nothing short of excellent and has such a nice ambiance. The Tea house is within an old Victorian home and has been decorated appropriately for the holidays.
Read moreThe winter woodland menu was also delectable and had such a great variety in the savory sweet pastry section. Even though this is a tea house, try the butter beer (NA) if you can because it's a drink of gold!!

A perfect high tea experience - Edit
One of my all-time favorite vegan restaurants (I have been eating vegan for just shy of 25 years and I have eaten in many vegan restaurants, in 4 continents). I have had tea here about half a dozen times over the last few years, and from that smattering of visits, the owner has been so personally friendly and thoughtful I almost have a sense of her as a friend. The tea and food are wonderful. An English baker brings traditional authenticity to the menu, but it's not a stiff or formal ethos. The menu includes whimsical creative elements like chocolate candies filled with ground pop rocks. Lovely garden seating among the flowers.

The tea of our vegan dreams - Edit
Oh my god, this is a fantastic tea room. I was happy enough to find plant based tea, and was ready for anything. This far exceeded my expectations and was as good a high tea as any I have had, including the Empress in Victoria.

Gluten free and vegan! - Edit
Muir's Tea Room is completely magical, and the service is very attentive and caring. Everyone working there made our experience wonderful. I tried the gluten-free high tea, and my mom had the standard option. We were both very happy with the tea and food. It's such a great time to be gluten-free and vegan.

Good tea selection, fun experience - Edit
Tea: good varied selection with yummy flavors. My only complaint is that they used boiling water regardless of the type of tea which made it hard to brew green tea for best flavor— and too hot to drink without waiting some time. If you’re not super picky about tea like me, you’ll be happy.
Read moreFood: we reserved ahead of time which required ordering the full menu which was pretty expensive. Unfortunately, some of the dishes that aren’t their specialty were misses — salad, sandwiches, and seasonal savory bites weren’t up to the standard. I’d recommend just getting the biscuits and sweets or choosing items from their bakery case to have with tea so you only get the good stuff, but I don’t think you’re able to make a reservation and do that. I wouldn’t go back for the full menu. I might get sweets to go in the future.
Experience: it was fun and whimsical whether inside or in the garden, small gift shop is very cute and vibe is everything you’d expect. Staff were very kind though they did miss a couple of things when they got busy.
Pros: Lovely place, Tea selection
Cons: Some food wasn’t great, Expensive to reserve

Magical - Edit
I've been to Muir's twice now, the high tea service is spectacular. It runs you 50 bucks a person, but for the amount of craftsmanship that goes into each of the goodies and for endless tea, the price is well worth it for a special experience. I have enjoyed every tea pairing I've tried, and I especially love their cakes, mushroom tart, and scones that come with clotted "cream" and mini jam jars. Both times I've visited the workers have also given us samples of baked goodies they sell in their bakery case, my favourite of which is the peanut butter cup shortbread bar. Lastly, they feature a gift shop with lovely souveniers for both adults and kids, or you can buy a packet of their tea to enjoy at home. I will keep coming back here till the end of time.

Delicious and Charming - Edit
I can't say enough about my experience at Muir's Tea Room in Jan 2022. The place is adorable, the staff is attentive and personable, and the food is soooo good! I wasn't sure what to expect going into afternoon tea, but it was fantastic. The Scottish theme was fun (the "cheese" and pickle sandwich blew my mind as did the scones) and the extra snacks we purchased from the bakery (chocolate peanut butter shortbread and peppermint patty) were just as good as the treats that were part of the tea service. I am so excited to go back again!
Read moreIt looks like maybe they used to have lunch or an actual menu to order from, but that is not the case as of my visit. You could have the tea service offered for that month and/or baked goods.

A unique experience - Edit
It is a distinctly crunchy Sebastopol version of a British tea room. The restaurant is in a quaint wooden house a block removed from the main drag. If you are a couple I’d reserve one of the two window tables, though the place is smallish and my partner and I were perfectly happy in the back. All of the food was fun and tasty. Depending on what you order it can be a bit pricy ~$7-$35 per main but it is important to remember the work that goes into making all of the little snacks that add up to a full meal with the high tea menu items. My partner and I were happily stuffed when we left and I can’t imagine going through the town again without returning.

Top Notch Tea Time - Edit
Fabulous experience! The aesthetic inside is clean, bright, elegant and grounded. My mother and I shared a pot of the Queens Rose Garden tea. It was a perfect blend of subtle notes of sweet and fragrant floral blend. My mother initially ordered a jam and cream sandwich and was NOT a fan. The waitress exchanged it for a BLTA one free of charge. That one is amazing!! Best Gluten Free sourdough I’ve ever tried. My Dad’s tomato pesto melt was equally tasty. Shared lemon bar for dessert was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Definitely on the pricy side. However that is the norm for a tea room. Overall a fabulous experience 😍❤️💋
