Nice spacious cafe with plenty of seating. Great coffee (oat milk available) and the cake was actually phenomenal. Seems to always be a couple of vegan options. Great spot for a pick me up when browsing Hannam.

I stopped in for a light snack and coffee, they had two vegan options. My friend and I tried each, both were incredible. It was expensive, but was so nice I kinda understood it.

Trendy Café, with Options for Vegan - Edit
I wasn't sure at first if I was in the right place, because it doesn't actually say "mil café & bakery" anywhere; there's only some big lettering reading "Bonanza Coffee Heroes" behind the counter. But this is indeed mtl café & bakery and it's a lovely option if you're near the Leeum Museum (side note: I don't recommend the coffee at Leeum).
Read moreThe space is large and light, there are plants hanging from wooden structures. There is some merchandise (shirts, socks, notebooks, cups, pots – a lot of things really, all pricy). At the main counter, they offer a variety of drinks (coffee and non-coffee), with non-dairy options. They use beans from Bonanza Coffee Roasters, which is a Berlin-based, high-quality roaster (Bonanza Coffee Roasters' beans are available for purchase too). If want something sweet with your coffee, mtl has quite a selection of pastries and cakes available, including some clearly-labelled vegan options (a banana bread muffin, a vegan chocolate praline cake).
Ordered: 2 vegan lattes (1 iced, 1 hot), a banana bread muffin, something non-vegan for my partner; later ordered 2 pineapple coconut drinks (delicious!). Everything was enjoyable and the only negative thing I can say is that I would have liked more vegan options (like a vegan version of those delicious looking pound cakes!).
The staff is friendly. I was working at Leeum all day and came to the café twice. They remembered me and the second time round gave me a 1,000 won discount.
Overall, a great experience. If I'm back at Leeum or in the area, I will stop by again.
Pros: Quality coffee from a Berlin roaster, Friendly, got a discount!, Comfy place to hang out for a while
Cons: Some more vegan pastry/cake options would be great

Tasty vegan muffins, not a lot of options though - Edit
I got a couple of banana bread muffins to take away for breakfast the next day. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and they had 2 muffins and one chocolate torte out in the case as the vegan options.
Read moreThe muffins kept well for the next day and were tasty. They were moist and dense (but not in a bad way), making for quite a hearty breakfast treat. They were topped with some oats and bits of nuts for texture. There was also a sweet sticky sauce drizzled on top which was a nice addition.
I enjoyed my muffin and may have given it 4* if there were more vegan options.

Came for a cappuccino but they had just run out of oat milk😒Went with a pour over instead and it was really flavorful! It felt like a popular hangout in a nice neighborhood

Great stylish cafe with vegan option - Edit
The cafe is very modern and stylish. There are 2 vegan crumble options, and a chocolate muffin too when I visited. I had a latte with oat milk ( ₩1000) and a raspberry crumble cake. The crumble was very good in flavor but the crumble crust was a bit too hard to break with a fork so it was difficult to eat. The coffee was good. I would go again!
