Seriously craveable falafel - Edit
I moved away from Norfolk in 2021, and I dare say that the only thing I really, really miss is the falafel bowl from Mr. Shawarma, all the way vegan. Seriously, go eat it. It’s soooooo good. Also, the staff understands veganism and will help you out if you’re new to ordering there (but if you request “all the way vegan,” you’ll be covered anyway; for the falafel bowl, that just means they omit the garlic sauce, which contains egg).
Read morePros: AMAZING falafel, Staff understands veganism
Cons: Portion sizes can vary a bit depending on staff, No vegan shawarma

Great local Mediterranean spot - Edit
Loooooove Mr Shawarma’s “vegan all the way” wrap/pita! Very fresh and flavorful. Don’t forget a free side of pickles and carrots!

Amazing I love it! - Edit
They have falafel pita, wrap, or bowl.
Read moreYou can add a variety of veggies and they also have yellow basmati rice and lentils. The hummus bowl is soooo good. The baklava was to die for. Just an outstanding place and the employees are so kind. This is literally my favorite place to eat in Norfolk.
Pros: If you're vegan you can actually eat here.
Cons: None. I love this place.

Very nice to vegans - Edit
Just tell them you're vegan and they'll take care of you and be cognizant of what not to give you. The falafel is authentic Israeli-style, and the pita bread is the best in Hampton Roads. I get the platter with the falafel, pita, rice, fried eggplant, etc., and all is delicious. Edit 1/5/19: they now have vegan baklava, which is the best in Hampton Roads! Twice I've caught it right out of the oven, and it is sublime.

Good food, friendly service - Edit
They have a delicious falafel option for wraps, pita, and bowls. There are several toppings to add, and a vegan sauce option. The falafel is always fresh and tastes great. The only downside to the place is that they are often closed.
