Cashier said they've been open for 5 years. I can't believe I never knew or seen this spot on HappyCow. Then again, I'm really never this west in the East Bay. But Mr Dewie's has hella flavors (forgot to take a picture of the selections). I got their 2 scoops of chocolate w/ cookie crumbles 😋. I had choco ice cream before where it was TOO rich in chocolate flavor. But Mr Dewie's was just right...just as right as the gelato I had in Barcelona. Also got their vanilla cookie sandwich. It was ok...kinda taste like an "It's It" but the cookies weren't as flavorful. The price point is about the average of premium ice cream. 5 stars.

Some of the best vegan ice cream I've had. The cashew is perfect. The turmeric spice flavor is my new favorite flavor of ice cream. You might be surprised how incredible turmeric is in sweets. They recently changed that flavor name to "Golden Spice" since the last time I went. It's the most delicious ice cream flavor. I also love the Roasted Cashew flavor, it's extremely creamy and satisfying. My family enjoy the matcha flavor. Their cookies go great with the ice cream and make a great pair. I usually get a cookie and a triple scoop. They also have ice cream cookie sandwiches if you're into that!

Sadly I was only able to visit this place one time, however, that one time was so worth it! I had 2 scoops of ice cream; one chocolate orange and one mint chocolate chip. The flavours were so delicious, strong and there were loads of chocolate chips!!

The ice cream was good and very rich. I had the mint chocolate chip and chocolate, both of which were yummy. All of the the ice cream was vegan, but not all of the toppings were. They did have vegan hot fudge and a vegan come if you asked for it. A little pricey, cute shop and location. Allows samples with metal spoons which is awesome!

Not very generous rewards program - Edit
Didn’t appreciate the change to the stores rewards program. You used to earn a stamp for each ice cream purchased, but now you only get one stamp per transaction regardless of the amount or number of ice creams purchased. Might encourage customers to go to the competition on Solano that are more generous with their rewards program. Come on Dewies!

My fam and I were walking in the Richmond area bay trail and found this place via HappyCow. Since vegan ice cream places are rare, I decided to give this a try.

Customer service was very kind and excellent. My bro dropped his scoop from his cone and the gentleman there offered another for free.

Love so many flavors: orange chocolate chip, green tea, turmeric... super tasty and vegan. I do wish, like other reviewers that the whole menu were vegan. There are a few things to look out for, but all labeled. Fun location on Solano.

Strawberry tastes like it has strawberries in it, instead of weird flavoring. Roasted Cashew, Banana Nut, Chocolate Orange Chip, Coffee, Turmeric Spice are also flavors I would have again. The cookie ice cream sandwiches are vegan and gluten free.

GREAT ice creamery! All flavors vegan but lemon which contains eggs but is marked so no confusion. We tried scoops of mocha chip (my favorite so far) and Carmel almond something or other. They provide samples and had several other good looking flavors I'll try next time, like mint chip. Also got snickerdoodles that were really good! They are on the crunchier side of the spectrum but yummy. They were out of brownies so will have to come back to try them out. The shop was nicely sunny and clean too. Had tables for eating on site.
