Great vegan options - Edit
Clearly we look like vegans as they offered us the vegan menu unprompted 😅 They have a separate vegan menu with vegan drinks clearly labelled which is appreciated and I wish was more common practice. We tried 4 of the curry type items with rice and rotis, all were great with a nice range of flavours and spice levels. We’d definitely be back!

Reliably good vegan food - Edit
Used to go to the mowglis in Manchester fairly regularly, so pleased to find one in Bristol.
Read moreAs ever, the decor and styling is impressive, and the building is beautiful - a Georgian building, possibly an old bank.
The menu hasn't changed since I last visited a mowglis, so all the old favourites were available - temple Dahl, tea-steeped chickpeas, picnic potatoes, rice and roti. It was all very tasty and of consistent quality.
Btw, the mowglis street food cook book is one of my favourites, with fairly faithful versions of lots of their restaurant dishes. It's not s vrgan cookbook, but there are sufficient vegan recipes to make it a worthwhile purchase.
Pros: Reliable good quality indian food, Lovely surroundings , Good value for money
Cons: Service was a bit slow

Great food - Edit
I had dinner here before seeing a show at the Hippodrome. It was early evening but still fairly busy. We sat on a table with swings, which was fun, but probably not comfortable for everyone!
Read moreThe staff were really friendly and helpful in advising on what to order. We ordered chat bombs and I ordered the holy chow. It was huge and served in a bread bowl. Very filling! The chat bombs were incredible. They'd been hyped up, so I was skeptical, but they were delicious!
Overall, great experience. The venue is beautiful and the food is excellent.
Pros: Dedicated vegan menu with loads of options, Super friendly staff
