Tiffin box is a must

Some of the best Indian food I have had variety wise. Would recommend trying the vegan tiffin box where you get 3 different dishes randomly selected and rice. It's forces you to try over dishes rather than the usual you may go for at an Indian. And they all end up tasting amazing. Staff are really lovely and friendly too.

Pros: Tiffin box, Variety, High quality

Lovely place, fantastic food

. Lovely venue
. Tasty food
. Separate vegan menu
. Little choice of vegan desserts
. Toilets up two flights of stairs - accessibility issue
. Calories on menu- not a big fan
. Reasonable prices

Thought it would be overrated but was pleasantly surprised

The menu has its own vegan section. It has a wide range of different options. The staff was very accommodating when I asked about spice level of the food (i’m not the best with it sadly)

I was so excited to try to chaat bombs, and they were delicious.

Great food

Some great vegan options. The restaurant itself is a bit too cramped for my liking as we had to sit very close to other people but it was still nice

Great Vegan Options

Mowgli is an Indian Street Food with a great separate vegan menu. There are loads of options and some super interesting ones like a curry inside a loaf of bread.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Donates money to charity for each meal, Pretty restaurant

Cons: Gets booked up quickly

Indian Tapas

Went with my friend for lunch recently. Modern restaurant with a cool playlist and swing seats were a nice touch. There was a separate vegan menu which made ordering easy and friendly, knowledge staff. The food was gently spiced but very fresh. Indian tapas style portions were enough to share for a lunchtime. Really enjoyed it. Wishing now I'd taken pics to upload. Maybe next time.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Good range of options, Nicely styles, comfortable venue

Cons: Not the cheapest

So tasty and unique

Modern fresh vibe with lots of fairy lights and optional swing seats. Dogs allowed. Vegan menu available. Looks like this is a growing chain. The food was really nice and for me, original. Cocktails and mocktails also had funky Indian flavours, eg chai infused rum.

Pros: Dog friendly, Dedicated vegan menu, Modern, clean and fresh

Great food

I love it and have been here several times. The food is good but it’s not extremely authentic. Do remember that most Asian food including Indian is meant to be shared so none of that order one thing and that’s your meal.

Tasty Indian Tapas

Great spot in the middle of Nottingham’s lively Hockley area. Quite a few veggie and vegan dishes. Very nice, friendly service, good cocktails!

Pretty good.

There are quite a few vegan options. I tried the following (it's indian Street food tapas, so they're little dishes):
Treacle Tamarind Fries - not really fries, more like cubes but really sticky sweet and moreish.
Holy Chow - this was a chickpea curry served in a loaf. This was nice.
Temple Dahl - a red lentil curry, fine but a bit standard/boring.
Calcutta Tangled Greens - not green, more beige and again fine but not anything special.
Puri - fried bread wished I'd gotten the roti.
So my food options were a bit hit and miss, but I would go back and try the rest since there are many other options.
My friend tried the paneer and gunpowder chicken which she raved about (so this place is good for omnivore friends).

Not as good as Tamatanga for a higher price

My partner and I felt disappointed by the food on offer here. We both got the Tiffin boxes where you have a selection of curries. We found them quite bland and also not very tasteful. We enjoy Tamatanga so much more. We won't be returning.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Vegan options

Cons: Bland, Expensive , Busy

Reliable, tasty food!

The separate vegan menu is really helpful and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried (I think I’ve eaten my way through pretty much the entire menu at this point). And I’m not normally a fan of cocktails but they do some great ones!

Always delicious

We love Mowgli in Liverpool so were delighted to dine at the Nottingham branch (bonus: swing seats). Tarka dhal, ‘chip butty’ and Calcutta tangled greens are all favourite dishes of ours, but we tried the vegan bunny chow (curry in a loaf of bread) for the first time and loved it! Lovely staff, delicious food, gorgeous setting. Just lovely. Extra love for having separate vegan menus that have so much choice, and having done so for so long!

Pros: Delicious food, Loads of vegan choices , Lovely staff

Vegan tiffin

Just been. Ordered off the vegan menu. Delicious vegan tiffin box for £14 with a range of curries to try. Also have soy milk for tea. Will definitely go back!
