A (Mostly) Very Happy Return - Edit
Whenever I return to the UK, I try to squeeze in a trip to a Mowgli’s if I can, simply because the chat bombs, treacle fries and the slaw (my favourite) are so damn delicious. Since my last visit, there had been one or two changes to the menu, (namely the omission of the wonderful tangle greens), but I was incredibly to thankful to see my reasons for being present and correct. One addition to the menu that I was intrigued by was the keema dish, so I dutifully ordered it alongside my usual options. Though it wasn’t a huge hit, it was more than palatable and everything else was as superb of ever (though the bhel puri has shrunk considerably in size).

Delicious vegan options - Edit
Mowgli has a separate vegan menu, which makes choosing food a lot easier. There was a good amount to choose from, too. I tried the vegan tiffin box, which was so good!! So many different dals and curries to choose from, all with amazing flavour. I would have preferred a slightly larger portion of rice as there wasn’t enough for all the food but that would be my only (small) complaint😄

Good! - Edit
The bombay chip butty was delicious! Tea steeped Chickpeas were really tasty, I then ordered a meat substitute something but I can't remember the name.. this was not very nice at all.
Read moreNice setting, staff didn't come around that often which made getting drinks take a while. Cocktails for around a tenner didn't seem very strong either.
At the end very expensive I thought

The food here is excellent. I'd recommend the vegan tiffin box - three Curries and rice. Also, get the Puri!

I would give 5 stars if I could! - Edit
Mowgli is just amazing. There are so many vegan options available and they are all so delicious. My non vegan friends choose vegan, vegetarian and meat options because the flavours are just wonderful. I am yet to be disappointed with a curry I try there! I had 2 curries, a basmati rice and a cabbage side for £14 which was really reasonable for the portions and quality.

Chain but great food - Edit
I know, I know, it’s a chain. Yes, there’s one in Nottingham. But I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed every time I’ve gone. Novelty swing seats included.

Fab food with friends! - Edit
Visited for a friend’s birthday! There was a separate vegan menu. I opted for the vegan school tiffin, I tried the bhel puri, treacle tamarind fries, green ginger and rhubarb dahl, picnic potato curry, mowgli basmati rice and mowgli slaw! Also tried 2 of the mocktails too which were nice. Service was great too, and fab central location in the corn exchange. Could do with more vegan desserts, there was just sorbet with a cone.

Nice restaurant but pretty standard curry - Edit
Enjoyed my visit to Mowgli today, the atmosphere was really nice and all the staff were attentive and friendly. I had the vegan tiffin box, which was a hefty amount of food for £14, plus a side of roti. The currys were okay but didn't exactly blow me away. The rose mocktail however was incredible! I would probably go back but mainly for the atmosphere than the food.

Favourite place in Manchester - Edit
Huge fan of Mowgli, always come when I visit Manchester. The temple dahl with puri is to die for and the Bombay chip butty is a must ? my carnivore friend who I usually go with always gets the dahl and chip butty from the vegan menu too! In addition to the fantastic food, the staff are so lovely and helpful and the spot itself is beautiful. Can't wait for my next visit

Tasty dishes for sharing - Edit
Mowgli has a separate vegan menu, and everything on it sounds so delicious that it's a real struggle to decide what to order! Fortunately you're encouraged to order lots of small dishes to share, so we got to try a variety of things. Between three people we shared the picnic potatoes, tea steeped chickpeas, rhubarb and ginger dahl and temple dahl. We also had some rice and rotsi. Everything was really well spiced, without being so fiery as to be unpleasant - just really good flavours. I was with two non-vegans and they really loved our meat-free dishes. Service was good too, really helpful and friendly. I'd love to go back and try the chip butty!

Curry feast - Edit
The thing I dislike most about Indian restaurants is that there are all these exciting options but you don't get the opportunity to try them all. But at Mowgli they do it tapas style so I got to try all the vegan options, all of them tasted different and were delicious. It may not look like the most authentic Indian but the food is excellent and the service is good.

Vegan Menu Available - Edit
Mowgli serves Indian street food and has a dedicated vegan menu with plenty of options for starters, mains, sides and rice and breads. I shared bombay chip butty and fenugreek kissed fries with my husband. Mains was Mowgli slaw, tea steeped chickpeas and picnic potato curry, all served with rice. Also has a venue in Liverpool.
