Delicious Italian Standards - Edit
My husband and I went here for a romantic date night and Mountainara did not disappoint!! We had the pomodoro verde to start and the plant-based parm and plant-based picatta (both with Meati chick’n cutlets) for our main course. All of it was so good!!! Eating our dinner we realized how much we had been missing great Italian food. Highly recommend!

Delicious - Edit
The plant-based piccata and mushroom steak are to die for. The pesto is also really good. They have an entire plant-based menu and are really familiar with dietary restrictions. They went under new ownership in May 2023 and the vegan options are so much nicer now

Great for lunch! - Edit
This place is super cute! It was really easy to make a reservation on OpenTable from there website, which I would recommend because the place is small. I made our reservation like a hour before. They had a pick two lunch special for $18. I had a seasonal salad and vegan pesto. Both were very good! They have a variety of vegan options marked as V or VO which means vegan option available

Fantastic surprise - Edit
Really cute spot, quite the surprise tucked back in a small town shopping center. Great atmosphere and a very large variety of incredible traditional Italian options made vegan. More than simply leaving off the cheese, they put extra thought into the vegan options and they were all really good. I highly recommend this place.

Fine dining prices casual dining experience - Edit
The server was friendly, the place clean. We went for the vegan food. My husband tried to order the vegan option lasagna but was told it was “out of stock” meaning it’s all premade. He ended up with the vegan Alfredo and it had a strong coconut flavor and was mostly bland. I had the eggplant parm. It was served with cheddar vegan cheese on top. The eggplant was bitter and the skin so tough I could not cut it with a fork. Both slices looked to be from the very edge of the eggplant so it was mostly skin. I think I can buy the same dinner rolls at Kings. The house salad had spinach which was nice but the figs were slimy and the walnuts raw. It was drenched in olive oil. Nothing is “homemade” it’s all heat and serve. It’s just really overpriced for what it is. I wish we would have driven to the springs for Santiago’s.
