Great vegan options

I was amazed at hot many options they had here for vegans. The burritos were out when I got there but the tofu sandwich was pretty good and so was the vegan brownie

Great vegan options

Popped in after a hike because a review said they had vegan burritos and found much more! Hot vegan burritos up front along with vegan (and gluten free) chocolate chip cookies and blueberry muffins. Cold case in the back with vegan sandwiches and salads. Staff member was very friendly and helpful and said that they make it a priority to have a hot vegan option and a sweet vegan option up front everyday.

Great local coop, nice people, lots of vegan options

I live in Ned and the coop is my local go to spot for grocery shopping. I absolutely adore that they have a bulk section which is where I buy most of my essentials, and these are more affordable although the packaged goods are on the pricier side, which is somewhat to be expected for more of a health food/ specialty store. I also love the pre-made foods they offer which are prepared fresh on-site, including several salads, grilled tofu satay, and sandwiches. My favorite is the tempehtation (grilled tempeh with a kick) they also have a wide selection of vegan cheeses, ice creams and meat alternatives, and they support local businesses and producers as much as possible. Their vegan baked goods are also incredible, there are usually things like blueberry muffins, molasses cookies, and double chocolate brownies. For those who are gluten free there are also lots of options. They even have a nice selection of cruelty free makeup and skin care products. It’s a tiny shop in a tiny town but they pack in a lot of goodness. And to top it all off they are a great support in the community and everyone I’ve spoken with there is kind and friendly.

Pros: Good people, Lots of vegan options, Supports many local business

Cons: You might buy too many vegan brownies

They hate outsiders

Horrible experience here. We were so excited to come here and support this business. We are vegan and have trouble finding vegan food on the road. We bought a sandwich and a couple other small snacks. The guy at the register was so nice and friendly with all the other people but was so unfriendly and frank with us. The sandwich had tempeh on in with very visible mold on it. When my partner brought it back in they were so rude and acted like we’d never seen tempeh before. No help whatsoever. I was so confused and disappointed as I thought out of all businesses, this one would be worth going to. Not the case. Face it—you’re in a touristy city. Why be rude to everyone you “believe” is an outsider? We just wanted some good vegan food. Makes me so sad, honestly. Teach your employees to be better. What a horrible experience.

Pros: Food is good when it’s not moldy

Cons: Rude/hateful for NO reason, Horrific customer service , Hate outsiders

Vegan biscuits!!

Moving to Ned and was checking out the vegan options and was pleasantly surprised by everything they offer. Too many things to mention (Miyoko’s, grab n go deli items...), but I can say as a long time vegan haven’t had a good biscuit in ages. Omg! :)
Can’t wait to shop regularly.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Deli options, Hot case burrito

Love the co-op

They don't always have vegan dishes in the hot food bar, but you'll always find something in the fridge that the deli made fresh. Great for picking up snacks or putting together a whole meal. They also have a selection of vegan gifts like locally made Mountain Zen Candles.

Pros: vegan cheese in stock, bbq tofu is the bomb, friendly folks

Cons: not always vegan hot options
