Not many vegan options and small not that tasty options

Will do if in a pinch, but I suggest going elsewhere if you have the time. I didn’t love the prices, portion sizes, or flavors that much. Somewhat fresh and wholesome, but overall not that satisfying.

Tons of great vegan options / the ability to sub tofu scramble into most dishes.

Very “vegan considerate” staff

Pros: Easily make most things vegan, Considerate staff, Good food

Downtown is the one to visit.

I have gone to all three of the Mother's locations and the Downtown location is my favorite as far as service and atmosphere. I've had so so experiences at both the Eastside and Westside locations with the Westside location being repeatedly the worst as far as customer service goes. Overall, the food is good, but it's a little spendy for what you get and in my opinion, the juices and smoothies are on the expensive side. They do have a few vegan options on their menu but not a huge selection. Everything vegan on the menu that I've tried so far has been good though, but as I mentioned, the portions are small compared to the cost.

Pros: Vegan options are tasty, quality ingredients

Cons: Expensive, limited vegan options, small portions compared to cost

Great for dining with mixed diets!

Their food is always delicious but doesn’t always sit well with us. We are strict plant based eaters and are pretty sensitive to meat bacteria. Out of the 10 or so times we’ve dined there we’ve been sick twice. We order the same dish every time and the food/flavors are always good, just not always agreeable. There’s something for everyone and it’s a great place to go if your group contains mixed diets, just be mindful of cross contamination if your super sensitive or used to eating from an exclusively vegan kitchen.

Pros: Lots of options for everyone! , Super friendly service! , Wonderful juice bar.

Cons: Omni kitchen -1 Star

Smoothie Bowls

This place made me fall in love with smoothie bowls. Perfect healthy breakfast for when you're in Bend and have eaten Next Level Burger too many meals in a row! It is fresh and lovely.

Pros: Healthy, Variety, Customizable options

Cons: Limited seating

Great Healthy Selection

Lots of cold pressed juices. Able to accommodate vegans. Had a great smoothie bowl and a yummy hemp milk chai - the dirty hippy :)

Delicious

The ingredients are super fresh and tasty. I had a modified Baden-Baden (veganized) and the staff was more than happy to accommodate my substitutions; even came up with some for me :) Husband had the Eggs Benedictish, which, was a vegetarian option; large delicious portions. Can't wait to go back.

Mother's is just okay

I used to eat at Mother's (or get a fresh veggie juice) at least twice a week, but slowly began to notice that the staff wasn't very knowledgeable about what they were serving. I found that innocent sounding "veggie" soups were actually made with chicken stock. When I asked if they were made with chicken stock, the answer was, "Um, I'm not sure. Do you want me to check?" Yes. Come to find out, none of the soups I ever asked about were vegetarian.
I also always assumed that the fresh veggies/fruits were organic. Wrong again! According to the staff, the ONLY organic vegetable served is spinach. Sigh. There goes my convenient fresh veggie juice on my way to work. Definitely not interested in a side of pesticide.
I *want* to love Mother's Juice Cafe because it is close to where I work and I'd love to be able to get an ORGANIC fresh veggie blend juice without having to do the juicing at home every morning and I would love to be able to find something vegan on the menu besides the Summer Salad with no feta (organic spinach but conventionally grown strawberries.. grr).
The staff is very pleasant, but I'd really like to see the owner go organic.

Pros: friendly staff, large menu, cool atmosphere

Cons: not organic, not vegan friendly, use of packaged soups

Great Breakfast Place

They are the only place that I know of that serves acai bowls - one of my favorite things for breakfast! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating to dietary needs. I love that they give the option of using hemp milk, which is great...not many places do. My favorite is the NW Acai Bowl, but instead of yogurt I substitute hemp milk. Oh, and a warning...the acai bowls are HUGE! Highly recommend sharing!

Pros: Large portions, Friendly staff, Good value

vegan options

They had several dairy-free smoothies and some juices. The only food option that was vegan without tweaking was the fire roasted vegetable soup.
