Fabulous all round - Edit
This is a delightful oasis for an evening meal. The vegan Miyazaki was lovely, as was the spanakopita. The burger was enormous! They use only vegan wine too and the rose was frankly the best I had tasted. Upstairs is a lovely experience and the place has a great decor including old books along one wall. It’s a 10 minute walk from the Acropolis Museum past some interesting shops. The people are wonderful too.

The hospitality at Mothers was wonderfully warm. I was welcomed by the owner, who explained the selection of homemade dishes. There was a good variety, from pastries and savoury snacks, to meals using Greek ingredients and specialities.

Our first experience at Mother Cafe was very good. We were treated with much care and attention by the co-owner and chef, Eva. Everything we ate was delicious! Thanks for the wonderful food and service!

The vegetable pies are great! But everything we had was very good. The owner is very, very friendly and fluently speaks English. Mother is a perfect name for this place, it feels like family.

We had breakfast there. The food was just OK. Nothing special or stellar and neither very abundant. For that - and the relatively remote location - it was certainly overpriced. (We had cheaper and better dinner elsewhere for less.) We would not go there again.

The restaurant was quite calm when I stopped in for dinner which was a welcome reprieve from the busy Athens streets. There were two pies available, I picked the pumpkin as it wasn't meant to have dill while the spinach pie did. Unfortunately there was dill added to the pie which was a major bummer for me, it's a strong flavor and overpowered it so I didn't enjoy the pie. I also had a side of the fava which was basic but nice. Cute shop, kind service, lots of the food looked great I just didn't choose well for myself so the meal was so so.

Mother Vegan is a bistro (not restaurant), which means that it has a limited menu. If the choices, all are made in-house. No Beyond meat or impossible burgers here. Clean healthy food is the focus and of the dishes I ate (3) everything’s was amazingly delicious. Add friendly service and knowledgeable nutritionists to the mix and you got a win-win.

After a long day of walking in the heat, this place was exactly what I needed. It was very laidback, and the food was great. I got a tasty handmade burger that did not try to mimic the taste of meat. I personally like that. It came with some potatoes and a delicious dipping sauce. I also got an apple pie a la mode. The pie had a very fresh, apple-forward flavor as opposed to the very sugary flavor we’re used to in the U.S. The service was excellent, too - attentive without being intrusive. I recommend.

We had the Sweet Banana (don't expect banana bread) which was tasty, as well as tea and cappuccino freddo. It would be nice if the tea came in loose leaves rather than bags! The classical music playing is a nice touch.
