Nice coffee shop with wholesome food and some treats - Edit
I came during the busy hours on a Sunday and ordered the tofu banh mi, a nice latte and their vegan treat of the day (a mini bundt cake with fruit). It was all really lovely and tasty. I wish there were a few more vegan options on the menu but what they do have is very flavorful. The banh mi was nicely spicy too!

Great addition to neighborhood - Edit
I’ve struggled to find “updated” Vegan options in Riverdale, and I’m finally happy. Way to bring fresh vibes! Great ambience, chocolate croissants, thoughtful entrees… Yeah, I’ll be stopping by every time I visit my MIL.
Read morePros: Ambience , Food choices, Location
Cons: Of course I wish “vegan options” would be replaced, And would be “100% Vegan” instead

Very nice, homey cafe - Edit
A very nice homey cafe. A lot of nice vegetarian items; few vegan choices. I had a very tasty vegan burger ( with white bread roll--though they do offer gluten free things as well). Counter service, friendly, every thing is very nice.

Super fresh, lovingly prepared local meals - Edit
Moss Cafe is a fantastic addition to the Riverdale section of the Bronx. All food is kosher and locally sourced whenever possible. It has many die-hard fans in the neighborhood. Pros: the food is extremely fresh and it's clear that a lot of thought goes into the menu. There are always vegan options on the menu, including vegan pastries. They have a a full array of plant-based milks for coffee. The vibe is friendly. Cons: sometimes they run out of the vegan items (especially the pastries). The seating is a bit tight and it can get noisy. It's a bit pricey given the ambience. The portions are on the small side.
