Great food, people, and view - Edit
Went for sunset and early dinner. Very nice. The vegan burger was the favorite, and we also ordered the vegan curry. Both delish. Beautiful sunset and views. Highly recommend. After dinner, we walked into town. Everything is so close and easy to get to. The hills make it a good work out.

Only two vegan options - Edit
We were told by the waitress that there are only two vegan options we can choose. And it was either the burger or the veg curry. We both chose the burger with french fries and quite enjoyed it. The patty had either banana or plantain in it and was quite sweet.

Great for everyone - Edit
I went here with my fiancés family, and of the 8 of us only I am vegan. I had the curried vegetables and rice which was good, and several in our group ordered the vegan burger and enjoyed that. The waiters were very kind and attentive. Would recommend.

Solid Options Executed Well - Edit
There are a good amount of vegan options, including a burger, casado, a curry dish, and a pasta. The food is quite good, I had the veggie burger and the patty was made of a plantain and onion hash, options are clearly marked as well.

Vegan Burger is great - Edit
Not just some dry lentil patty, but a really delicious burger. You gotta like onions though (which I do).
Read moreNo vegan options for dessert, but considering the difficulties to find anything vegan in CR, this is an awesome place.
Pros: Nice sunset
Cons: On the pricy side

Ok food, no plant milk - Edit
Food is okey, good for Monteverde, weird thing is that they don’t have plant based milk although they do have vegan opts.

Several vegan options, staff are friendly and knowledgeable about veganism (e.g. I asked if the onion rings are vegan and was told the battery has egg in them).

Delicious vegan options and amazing view!! - Edit
Great restaurant in Monteverde with super delicious vegan options! We came here every day because the food was so good and fresh and the view is incredible. Vegan burger is divine—made of plantains and almonds on a homemade beet bun. We also tried the curried vegetables, pasta primavera, vegan soup, vegan wrap, and vegan casado. The burger was the favorite but all were great. The staff here is also really really friendly and it's a great atmosphere. Definitely stop by here if you're vegan in Monteverde!

Would be good to see more vegan options here, as the location/view from the restaurant is nice.

Morpho Cafe: great options for vegans - Edit
Morpho Cafe was a great option for my family of five (all vegans) as we were traveling in Costa Rica. The staff is very accommodating and made a special vegan burrito for my nine year old son with only beans and rice. I had the new vegan burger, which was so new it had not been added to the menu. It was very original, made with plantains and almonds. It was served with a generous amount of roasted potatoes. My husband and other sons had the vegan casados, which includes salad, steamed vegetables, black beans, rice, and the best plantains my husband had ever tasted.
Read moreWe also enjoyed the decor, which is "cloud forest-like." It is airy, has tables made from carved wood in the design of a butterfly (blue morpho - hence the name of the restaurant) and beautiful murals throughout.
Pros: excellent service, delicious vegan options, affordably priced
