Delicious and good value - Edit
We were sceptical going in and expected to have next to nothing and/or be gauged since the lovely park is full of tourists. We gave our Happy Cow Korean translation card to the host who helped us pick the vegetable rice (without egg) and the vegetable bean meat. They were very accommodating and we loved our meal.

Good food, few vegan options - Edit
This restaurant in the garden of morning calm offers some vegan/vegetarian dishes as far as I could tell. It's good but be aware that the side dishes might contain fish or other animal products! I was surprised they had options at all for vegans in the garden though.

May Contain Seafood - Edit
Located near the Cloud Bridge within the Garden of Morning Calm. Vegetarian / vegan options (all contain alliums) are the bibimbap (can request to switch the fried egg to acorn jelly), vegetable soy 'meat' steak, and acorn jelly salad. Take note that the side dishes served may not be vegetarian (I was served anchovies and fishcake as side dishes even though I said I did not eat meat, seafood, eggs, etc; even the kimchi probably contains shrimp paste). Also take note that the soybean stew contains anchovies although the staff introduced it as a vegetarian dish. Overall this place is a valid option at the Garden of Morning Calm if you're not strict or particular (FYI all bakes at the Morning Spring Bakery contain egg and dairy, including the rye bread). Otherwise it might be safer to bring your own food, as is the case throughout Gapyeong.

Basic food inside a pretty park - Edit
I don't know whether this is still the same location as the one initially uploaded to Happycow. At present, there is only one restaurant inside the garden, on the same location as in the description, but it is a kind of food court called "Food Garden" in Korean.
Read moreThere is a fixed menu with regular Korean dishes. I'm guessing that the Bibimbap 나물 비빔밥 (with egg) and acorn jelly salad 도토리묵무침 are vegan- and vegetarian-friendly. Language skills are definetely necessary for customizing or confirming vegan food.
The prices seem average. But considering the fact that there's an entrance fee (9.500 KRW for adults) for this park, I would not go out of my way just to eat here.
The park itself is nice, but with regards to food I think there are more interesting options on the road to the park.

Cons: entrance fee for park, communication necessary, not many options

At least two veggie options! - Edit
Menu is in English when you get inside. I ordered the soy bean stew (Deonjang jjigae) which was delicious and came with rice, kimchi and salad however it did come with a small dish of dried tiny anchovies which can be left or you could ask not to have it. My father ordered the acorn jelly salad. Which was excellent and a little spicy. There is also a Bibimbap option which came with an egg but you could ask for it to be left off. Always note that some korean stews are made with an anchovy base.
