We’ve had 3 appetizers which were all great (Hummus plate, Tempura vegetables and a Cheese plate combined with marmalades and pears.

When it comes to main courses and desserts-not so amazing. We’ve taken the famous Carbonara which was dry and bleak; Lasagna was ok but the tomato sauce tasted like from the can, not simmered long enough; Tempeh with pistachio was pretty good actually; while desserts (Tiramisu and Chocolate Mousse) were just okay but wouldn’t want to eat them again.
Their premises were real hip and we’ve loved it! Trendy, spacious and has a relaxed vibe. The hostess was really helpful and communicative, even regarding references for other places.
Cocktails were friggin awesome too.

Vegan restaurant in the tourist part of Siracusa (Ortigia) that works hard for a classy ambiance and presentation. Friendly staff, lots of different offerings, and a beautiful location. Main dishes were just ok, music was loud.
Read moreThe appetizers were wonderful, and I would tell my friends to go for appetizers and desserts, but eat the main courses somewhere else. The primi and secondi tasted like many "fancy" vegan places I've been too - nice presentation with a somewhat underwhelming flavour. The mains we had were all "pretty good", but nothing I would eat a second time. (In Sicilia, I feel you can walk into a random "bar" and order a 4€ spaghetti, and then find yourself eating some the best food you've ever eaten in your life, so spending a lot more money for forgettable mains led me to take off a star). The other criticism is that they play loud music. For me it made a beautiful, picturesque, romantic neighbourhood under the stars that would have been incredible to enjoy in silence or with some light music and made me constantly aware that they were trying really hard to insist that they were "the place to be". I don't really understand why they make this choice, but it was happening every night we walked by this week so I think it's a regular thing.
Despite the overly loud music, the ambiance was otherwise quite nice. An all-vegan menu in the area is a special treat. The simpler, vegetable focused appetizers were wonderful (gaspatcho yum!) and their homemade mayonnaise delicious. The desserts were good. Prices overall were expensive but not too bad (50€ for 2 appetizers, 2 primi, 2 desserts).

Best dinner we had in more than two weeks in Italy. Had the fantastic lasagna, spring rolls were quite good but nothing special. My boyfriend hat the awesome carbonara - the burger for the second course was okayish. For dessert we had a good tiramisu. The white wines we hat were disgusting.

Also fantastic service, the lady taking the orders was really attentive, helped us to choose the best options for our taste, also, when we came back 2 days later, not only she remembered us, but also what we like and what we had! I also took hummus to take away and asked to a bit more bread as they have delicious, home made turmeric bread! They gave me a really generous portion.
Food was fantastic, even my fussy mum really enjoy enjoyed it :-)

Fantastic people are running this all vegan place and the food was probably the best Italian food I can remember. Perfectly offered, amazing gusto and so so real. Try the Salvia tempura. It is heaven. A must have is the lasagne. You will not find a better one in Sicily.

MOON was a great discovery in Siracusa/Ortiga! The setting is very cosy with little lamps and candles everywhere. All the paintings, the different assortment of tables and chairs and bar made out of old shelves gave a great artistic vibe. The staff was very welcoming, fluent in English and attentive during our dinner.
Read moreWe enjoyed the delicious fresh take on caponata (they added apples) and a Sicilian salad with fennel and orange. These and even all dishes we saw pass by were very pleasing to the eye. The salad, later on we found on, you can find in different places in the city but it was tasty nevertheless. As a main course we had topinambour risotto and leek ravioli. The risotto had little lemon tasting pearls which were a nice surprise. The ravioli was not really my taste but my partner liked it. The risotto was okay but had except for the pearls not that much flavor. It also felt more like rice pudding then risotto.
All in all our best experience in Siracusa but flavors could even improve the experience.
