Over the Moon - Edit
Moon is a sophisticated yet unpretentious restaurant serving creative and tasty vegan dishes in great style. The people are knowledgeable and friendly. The location on Via Roma is wonderful - a vegan restaurant shining like a jewel in Ortigia. Moon is proud. So wonderful to experience its vibrancy and clever cooking skills. We’ve been twice and will go again before we leave. The pomodoro zuppò is exquisite. The linguini with seaweed intense with flavour. The tiramisu magnificent. Thank you!

Awesome vegan food in great environment. The owners and staff clearly love what they are doing. I keep returning to Ortigia every few years, and while there I visit Moon many time.

Unusual but delicious - Edit
I was going around in Siracusa resigned to eating only a slice of bread when I saw this delicious place. I had an amazing appetizer of vegan cheeses and an unforgettable linguine with seaweeds, the real taste of the sea💗my husband had a tasty vegetables lasagna.

Wonderful - Edit
If there is one restaurant to absolutely visit in Sicily, Moon is definitely the one. We were in Ortigia for 3 days and visited Moon twice because the food was so lovely (could not visit 3 times as they were closed on the second day we were there, not because we did not want to!). All dishes we tried were lovely but the absolute best part was their vegan mozzarella and burrata. I have been vegan for 6 years and have never found such good mozzarella or burrata. The pasta dishes we tried were lovely as well. I wish I could have tried more items on the menu! It is so unexpected yet so refreshing to find such a high-quality and refined Vegan restaurant in the heart of the most beautiful town in Sicily. If you are passing by Ortigia, visiting Moon is a must.

Best restaurant location I have ever been, I loved everything about the place, the atmosphere and the food. We had the fortune that we popped in when a couple of lovely people was playing piano, guitars and singing.
Read moreStaff is really nice and they could speak many languages and answer questions about the menu.
We got a little aperitivo here like wine and some appetizer. I tried the three types of hummus, one with artichokes, one with dried tomatoes and one with beetroots, they came with homemade seeds crackers and raw vegetables. I also tried the caponata that was made with apples.
Everything was delicious and good looking, really recommend it

I Was Expecting the Best - Edit
I have been here for dinner in July as the only vegan restaurant in Ortigia. The expectations were high but in the end i left the place not completely satisfied. Definitely the ingredientes were really good and so the ideas behind the dishes and the presentations, but taste wise there was always something missing. I think most of the dishes could be literally just slightly improved to give the best of the results, some other were amazing instead. In a location like Ortigia and with pretty much no other vegan options around, I would expect from Moon the absolute best of the best. Prices are ok considering what you eat, the location itself is great. Outdoor seating is available. They also do their own cocktails (tried one and was really nice).

Exquisite - Edit
We were very lucky to get a spot here as the place was nearly fully booked- phone ahead! The food is great, the atmosphere superb and the staff are some of the friendliest we have encountered in Italy. Fully recommend the soy skewers and cheese board but you can’t go wrong with any of it!

Best vegan place in Ortigia so far - Edit
You can tell this is a very high quality restaurant because of their sophisticated menu options.
Read moreThe vegan burrata was honestly excellent, the gazpacho was also very nice and delicate.
Our main meals (skewers and soy medallions) felt a bit bland perhaps (hence the 4 stars), though they still tasted very good.
I honestly thought this would be more expensive (it was, but not crazy expensive).

Servizio attento e professionale.
Cons: Porzioni piccole, Prezzi moderatamente elevati

Must visit in Sicily! - Edit
Absolutely loved this place and all the food we had. We went the first night with 8 omnis and they all really enjoyed also, we luckily were able to try basically everything and honetsly everyhting was delicious. Our stand out was a burrata ehich was a special, seaweed pasta and soy shucks in a soy marinade. The only dish we werent a fan of was the soy medallions. My partner and i went back another night and the dishes were actually kind off different as they are currently in an "evolution" phase and it was quite cool comparing. Honestky they were just as nice the next time. I also loved the pistachio icecream and the flower power cocktail.

Sophisticated vegan cuisine - Edit
The staff is very friendly and classy, you can quickly tell by the menu (and prices too) that this is going to be gastronomic(ish) food.
Read moreThey mostly revisit classic italian meals but vegan-made, meaning the meals are usually made to look like and get the taste close to their original non-vegan versions. This is done well, but don't worry about tasting non-vegan flavours you do not want to eat anymore, this is not tasting like non-vegan food.
Pros: High level cuisine, Friendly staff, Typical to italian cuisine
Cons: Price matches quality, more costly than average

HOLD YOUR HORSES!!!!🦄 - Edit
this is a review you gonna wanna read, cause this is not just another vegan restaurant - this is gonna be your new italian family and you never gonna wanna leave!
Read morefrom the very beginning you will be greeted by the most kind and welcoming people you will meet in Italy, it’s very clear that they love to make you feel good.
next you will be presented with a menu card where you gonna have a hard time choosing between the most amazing dishes - and if you’re in doubt they will help you choose what would be good judged according to your taste.
we had the pleasure of having Nicolò as our fantastic waiter, he is truly a gentleman and will make you feel special! he’s also the bartender and mixologist and will make you the best drinks🍸 we will miss him!
back to the food:
the flavors are so well balanced that it will feel like pure sunshine in your mouth and you will wonder if you’re in heaven!
we ate there 5 out of 6 days, and the only reason we wasn’t there all 6 days was because they are closed on tuesdays (yes, it was a sad day for us)!
a little bonus story:
the last day I unfortunately felt sick from the heat, but they made sure I had ice to put on my neck and wrist - they also followed me into the couch and put my feet up so I could relax and get better. they truly made me feel safe and cared for beyord what I have ever tried in a restaurant.🥹
I came there with my boyfriend, but left with a whole new family.
they deserve a 1000 stars⭐️
Pros: Service like no other place, Crazy good food, Every detail is in place
Cons: Not in Denmark🥲

Weak mains (but desserts that will leave you over the moon) - Edit
FM enjoyed some fantastic vegan cannoli ( the only identifiable in Sicily so far ) and really good chocolate mousse.
Read moreThe mains were disappointing - an overly simple salad with tempeh and a seitan carbonara that had insufficient topping and was a little plain.
Prices quite high too comparatively.
