Downtown mainstay with a veg option - Edit
Typically I'd go here for drinks and music rather than food, but would up here again for dinner when I had family in town this summer. Other review pretty much sums it up. Good, but not great.
Read moreThey have one veggie dinner option that changes seasonally. It always seems to be kind of stereotypical of what old-school fine-dining chefs think vegetarians want... fancypants vegetables, right? Right now it's a romanesco (broccoli) "steak". Sadly, never seen any tofu, tempeh, seitan, jackfruit or other veg protein ingredients offered.
For lunch there's a house-made veggie burger; I appreciate that it's house-made and not a surprise Impossible patty like some other places in town.
Good drinks, nice bartenders, live music (sometimes even that this fickle guy likes!)

Good not great - Edit
3 stars for food: they have a vegan “surf and turf” right on the menu- basically just a cauliflower steak on quinoa with a red pepper sauce and parsnip “oysters.” Cute idea but missed having a protein- probably would go somewhere else to eat.
