Delicious, borderline fine dining - Edit
This place makes an immediate impression with its music and interior design, which we describe as either industrial farmhouse or gothic chic. You have to get a drink for each person, which is fine. We ordered the orange tofu chicken which was one of the best dishes we've had in Seoul- delightful. The other dish was some kind of mash potato with sweet cone which was also bold, but not as tasty. If you get orange tofu and something else you could easily have a 5 star experience.

I am going to think about the iceberg lettuce Mango salad for the rest of my life. I don’t know if it was good or bad, but it elicited a response. That is the purpose of art. It was successful.
Read moreThe mushroom bourguignon was incredible. In fact everything was either incredible or bold in a good way.
I got several share plates because I was nervous about the portion sizes after seeing some reviews, but I found the portion sizes were quite large.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is kind of fancy, perfect for a date. The food was delicious too. The cheese fondue was great ! The bourguignon is sweet, but aware that you might not like it because it is traditionally a salty dish.

Better atmosphere and a slight level up from casual dining. They brought some of the dishes from former monks deli into the menu here. Love the new wide bar tables with the open kitchen concept. Had a 2 dishes (loved the tzatziki sauce in one of them) and the banana pudding between two people which were all tasty. Portions are on the smaller side , so order as sharing plates. Good place for meeting people over dinner or lunch.

We all loved the Black Lemon Pasta, it was really delicious, perfectly cooked and had amazing flavour. Everything else was very average. The curry was sweet, and the paratha was too oily.
For drinks the Whisky Ginger Highball was delicious as was the Green Tomato-ade. Their floral sangria looked amazing. I think we ordered the wrong selection of dishes, next time I would ask for their recommendations.
For dessert they have one choice - banana pudding. Most of our table wanted to skip, but I couldn't resist and we were all pleasantly surprised. Shared one between four people as it was quite decadent. Would get again.

The ambiance was nice and the food was tasty but the portion was quite too small. It's probably the best to order one or two small appetizers with the main menu if you want to leave the restaurant full!

Various fusion style of vegan selections. Nice plating presentation & fancy unique dining atmosphere. Welcome drink is also good. There are vegan pop corn chicken and even vegan fish. Fits for nice date night too!

The food was nice, but a word of warning , this should definitely be in the $$$. The food was delicious but given the price it could have been better. The flavours were pretty ordinary. Still, the location is nice and the presentation of the dishes is very cool.

After having too much Korean food, we decided to find something western and this is definitely worth a try. I came with my family, a mixture of vegetarian, meat eaters plus two kids who can’t have spicy food. We had a great time and everyone of us loves the food here.

It was a nice place, especially for a date. But it was so understaffed. For most of the time, there were no servers at all on our floor, so it was challenging to request for service or food. The burger was good, pretty meaty, better than most of the beyond burgers I think. But the spicy minari pasta was pretty bland and was lack of flavour. Couldn’t taste minari nor the spiciness. The chocolate mousse was delicious.

Loved the upscale vibe and delicious food. Their sangria was the best sangria I’ve ever had, amazing aromatics. They overcooked the burger a bit but other than that I really enjoyed all of the dishes!!

i’ve been here twice, and the food was better the first time i came. the service was better the second time, but still not great.
Read moremy friend and i got sat at the bar with two other couples (both times) and it’s so awkward sitting next to each other like that. we asked to sit on the roof and he told us it might be too hot, but we insisted. thankfully we were alone for the rest of the time while the other two floors were packed.
the food is not worth the price. 25,000 won for a plate that has a tablespoon of beyond meat crumbles on it and 6 gnocchi…
i could see if it were an amazing experience it would be worth it but it never is.

Monk's Butcher has delicious food that is visually stunning. The complexity of some of the dishes and flavor blending is great, but I can't give a higher rating that this to a place that leaves me hungry after spending that much money. Even the main dishes are like appetizer portions.
