The brownie is the star. - Edit
I don’t go here that often despite being close because I feel a bit underwhelmed each time. A lot of the dishes seem to use the same ingredients, so if you order to share it’s kind of like you’re not tasting anything new. We also asked if they had some vegan protein options and were told the jackfruit was “très protéiné” (what? It’s a fruit). So, meh.
Read moreThe brownie, however, was a pretty good way to end the meal. If I’m feeling bored with other options, it’s good enough to give it another try. Not a standby option, though.

My wife and I went there and had a lovely experience. My son had already eaten, but had room for one of their lovely deserts. My wife had a bowl and I had a nasigoreng.

I would recommend the nasi goreng dishes, however the bowl was tasteful too. The mango lassi was amazing and the chai latte tastes very good. Only the creme brulee was a bit too "brulee" for my taste.

I took the skewers starter, it was really small and the jack burger, the fries and the vegan mayonnaise was really good. I was surprise the bun was very good too (Very often the buns are industrial or when they are handmade they are often dry).

Vegan brunch on Sunday - Edit
This place is really cosy with lots of nice touches. Two floors and a few outside tables and very friendly English speaking staff. We had the set Sunday brunch menu (€21) and it was delicious. You don’t have to choose but get all the options. Love it, very welcoming restaurant. There was an antique market outside adding to the lazy Sunday atmosphere.

Plats pleins de saveurs, copieux et variés, mes 2 amies non-vg ont été surprises et ont grandement apprécié ! J'ai adoré la boisson Lassi mangue-coco-cardamome, et le brownie mousse snickers était divin ! Le restau est joli et bien aménagé et les personnes y travaillant sont adorables.

Fresh Indonesian-inspired vegan food! - Edit
We tried Monkey Mood for lunch and had the tempeh balls for a starter and the nasi goreng for the main course. The nasi goreng was very good and generous (hard to finish!), perfectly in the Indonesian style. However, I was a little frustrated with the tempeh balls which lacked flavor. Fortunately, the sauce was very good. The place is cute and the staff are friendly. It is a good place to eat, with good food and reasonable prices.

Place is supercute and colorful, with great music and atmosphere and a strong well deserved local fan-base.
Read moreI went in for lunch after seeing the menu and struggled to decide what to pick, since everything looked and sounded incredible.
In the end I opted for the spring rolls (I chose a mango dip), their signature burger and couldn't resist having desert and went for the brownie.
Everything was super fresh and supertasty, the spring rolls had little bursts of flavour given by marinated fried tempeh, the jackfruit burger is in my top 3 if not the best burger I've ever had and the brownie was so good I took another one home.
The owners are great, enthusiastic and always coming up with new ideas.
If I'm in Bordeaux again, there's no question I'll go back.

We had a nice time. Food was okay. Not mind blowing, but nothing to complain about really. It was alright. The curry was a little too “ricey” (waaaay too much rice and a little curry on top).

Funky tables and decorations, lovely owner and great food. The sunday brunch formula is best for value and the food is super fresh and a great mix of flavours. Sometimes they have an event upstairs which adds some extra good vibes to the already cool place. Also, very affordable.
