Vegan brunch - Edit
We weren’t aware that they only serve the brunch plate on Sundays, but this was very good. Would have loved to be able to go back to the other menu options. The brunch included chai, an orange juice, pancakes, nasi goreng and granola. So filling.

The food here is really nice. The €25 Sunday brunch is good but in the foot months since I last went, the portion sizes have reduced a lot; for example, I literally got a spoonful of granola on a tiny bowl of yoghurt. The green pancakes used to fill the plate and now they’re tiny. There’s also less effort being made with presentation. Less salad, less garnish. It feels like they’ve stopped trying as hard.

We had an amazing lunch at Monkey Mood and Loved our food. We had the "Gado Gado", the "Nasi Goreng Legumes", the "Chick'n Nasi Goreng" and the "Spring Rolls". It was all freshly prepared and tasted increadible. I would definitely recommend. But before you visit you should make a reservation.

Read moreImpossible in Bordeaux, so I was over the moon when I was able to get a salad with tempeh. The fried rice with their special monkey sauce was possibly the best dish of our trip. The spring roles were crunchy, fresh, and perfectly light for an appetizer. The mango cheesecake was perfect to top off our meal. Make reservations, even for lunch!!

I absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was amazing! The decorations, the music, the kitchen smells, everything takes you to am Asian mood. The Menu was very interesting. We had two dishes and a dessert. Plates were quite big and prices were quite low for the region. You need to make reservations and if you're not a fan of spicy food ask the waiters cause plates are a bit spicy.

Amazing - definitely book a table! - Edit
We came here on a Monday night when it appears all of the other vegan restaurants in Bordeaux are closed. Luckily we had booked a table as they turned a lot of people away due to being fully booked.
Read moreThe food was incredible with the star of the show being a vegan fried egg on top of the nasi goreng. Really good portion sizes and the food was delicious. We also shared a pandan panna cotta and mango cheesecake which were equally as good as the mains. Would strongly recommend visiting!

One of the best vegan restaurants I've ever been too. Food was amazing and I loved every single bite. We had the nachos, Nasi Goreng, the Tempeh burger and as a dessert the Panna cotta. Everything was perfect. Can't recommend this please enough😄

Fantastic Vibe and Burger - Edit
I went here for lunch on a Thursday. There was outdoor seating for about 16 people and indoor seating for about 16 people. I had no reservation and when I arrived all the outdoor seats were taken and indoors about half the seats were taken.
Read moreThe interior design was colorful; the most prominent colors were blue, yellow and dark brown. I don't know why but it gave me a kind of caribbean vibe. The music was upbeat, funky instrumental music. I really liked the atmosphere and vibe.
The menu (in French only) consisted of starters, bowls, burgers, nasi goreng and desserts. On Sundays between 11.30 - 14.30 there is a brunch for 25€. To drink there was everything you could expect including beer, vine, cocktails and lemonaid. Something that stood out for me was that there was only a few different options for each category. For example, there were only two burgers, three bowls, two beers and one cider. I kind of liked this as it made it easier to choose.
After some deliberation I decided to have the Jackfruit burger (14.5€). It was served swiftly and it was awesome. The bun, the patty, the bbq sauce, the fries, the sauce with the fries, the salad - everything tasted and looked great.
The service was great and the waitress was helpful and friendly as well. I really enjoyed my visit to Monkey Mood and would recommend it to everyone!
