Amazing all vegan food - Edit
We loved this quaint restaurant and the food on offer. We had the skewers with satay sauce to start and the jackfruit nasi goreng for mains. It tasted amazing and was presented beautifully. A very filling healthy way to end a great day in Bordeaux.

We ate here twice during our stay in Bordeaux and each time the food was great! We can highly recommend the nachos but be aware the portion size is huge but I great for sharing. Everything very fresh and there's so much flavour!!!

The food simply was so good! My vegetarian boyfriend had the tempeh burger and loved it, I had nasi goreng and crème brûlée. Tasted amazing. The waiters were very kind and they kept refilling our free water without us needing to ask. 100% recommend!

Strange that this was the only vegan restaurant open in Bordeaux on a Monday. But so glad as it is delicious. Casual atmosphere with delicious well presented interesting dishes. Drink options great too. The jackfruit nachos sharing starter was so much more than an average one in presentation and ingredients. Tasted amazing. The kimchi burger I had was splendid as was the Nasi Gareng my wife had. Desserts great. Mango Lassi top drawer. A must visit, but get there early as not masses of tables and obviously very popular!

Excellent all round. I had the Jack Nasi Goreng followed by the Banoffee Cheesecake and both were superb. Nice ambiance, sitting outside in the evening sunshine with a lovely view of the old church. Friendly staff who speak both French and English.

We booked & it did fill up fast but there are quite a few tables. We had the jackfruit burger which was excellent & the Nasi Goreng which was also very good. I wasn't keen on the 'fried egg' on top. Lovely food. Definitely worth it

I am on vacation in Bordeaux, trying to enjoy this. Bordeaux is not a vegan and vegetarian friendly city. I was looking for Monkey Mood restaurant, i walked for 30 min. Trying to find this under the rain and cold. Finally i found it, i was very happy because i thought i was arriving to paradise. But instead, we were received from a man, absolutely rude and he told us that they do not have place for us. There was a table available in 30 mins to one hour... we saw an empty table without chairs and proposed to wait and have some.drinks while waiting...the owner being rude, said he didn't have chairs and worst and his answer was : "i dont want to repeat 25 thousand times, that is not avalability for you!".

Monkey Mood is in my black list.
People in food and hospitality business should have patience and emphathy. One doesn't know if a client comes hungry at your doorstep...you can say no in a polite manner! Just serving vegan food doesn't make it over hyped. You need to fit into the hospitality business!!! Good luck.

Une partie des légumes n'étaient pas assaisonnés du tout et la sauce qui accompagnait était vraiment délicieuse, mais servie en trop petite quantité. Mes protéines végétales, en petite quantité, étaient noires. À ce stade, ce n'est pas caramélisé, mais brûlé. De plus, les verres n'étaient pas propres.
Vu les avis très positifs, j'étais emballée à l'idée de tester cet endroit, alors, je m'attendais à une meilleure expérience gustative. Je m'excuse de ce commentaire négatif, mais ce n'étais juste pas à la hauteur pour moi.

We had a delicious lunch at this Indonesian inspired restaurant. The menu is 100% vegan and there are some great options. We had the Kimcheeze burger which was delicious. The burger is made from homemade tempeh and the accompanying sauces are very tasty. This place stands out given the limited number of fully vegan restaurants in Bordeaux and is a must visit.

Je suis venue il y a plusieurs mois, il y avait du monde, mais nous avons quand même eu notre commande à temps(un [censored] n'aurait pas été grave de toute façon).
C'était ma première fois dans un restaurant indonésien et je n'ai vraiment aps été déçue
L'employée qui nous avait donné notre commande à emporter, avait peur que la présentation du dessert ne soit pas géniale, alors qu'elle était vraiment superbe !!! Alors j'imagine pas comment elle doit être d'habitude.
Le plat était très bon, le dessert aussi, ça m'avait manqué de manger un fondant au chocolat comme ça, et le service client au top !

We can feel that this restaurant is successful, and it's well deserved.
I came a few month ago, there was a lot of people, but we still got to get served(to go, as it was fully booked) in time(the contrary would still have been okay).
It was my first time in an Indonesian restaurant, and I definitely wasn't disappointed.
The employee who gave us our order was afraid that the dessert visual wouldn't be really pretty as it was to go, yet it was really beautiful! So how is it usually haha.
The meal was really tasty, so was the dessert. I had been missing eating a fondant au chocolat like that for so looooong! And the customer service was top!
If you're visiting Bordeaux, this restaurant is a must

I've just had the most excellent meal at Monkey Mood. I booked it a month a go, booking is essential. The food was fab, the service excellent and the portion sizes were good, I certainly wouldn't have wanted them any bigger. For €25 it was certainly worth the visit.

It's a delightful restaurant with nice interior and good outside spots. The pulled jackfruit burger was quite tasty but the buns were a bit spongy, the loaded nachos were equally good but not amazing. Would definitely recommend if you're a vegan in the area!
