Highly recommended. The nachos are spectacular (with beans, guacamole, tomatoes, minced “meat” and two sauces), the tacos are fantastic.

Cute little place with a good selection of mexican dishes. Friendly staff and food was really flavoursome. Ordered the bean quesadillas which were delicious. If you're in the area definitely worth a visit! As a note its round the corner from where Google puts it

I really enjoyed the food over at Monchito! I had tacos (El pastor if I remember correctly?) along with the refried black beans. Boths dishes were super tasty and super affordable. I really appreciated the special attention from the employees who were both very friendly and eager to make sure I was having a great experience at their restaurant. Would definitely put this one on my list next time I visit!

Better than other vegan Mexican restaurants in Barcelona. I hated the way that you must order (3 portions of the same tacos). The service was excellent in the start, but not until the final. Could be better, more if you have a problem with one dish or a hair in your taco.

Vegan Mexican tacos of very good quality, although the quantity is not very large for the price. Despite this, it is worth going for how good the food is. The place is not very big and it is usually full so it is difficult to get a seat.

Small place, quite casual, the tacos were good, especially the Baja California one. You have to ask for sauce if you don’t get it with your plate right away. The guacamole appetizer was good and the size was perfect, just enough for the both of us.

💭: this was a very large portion. It contained vegan cheese, guacamole, black beans and vegan chilli as well as pico de gallo. This was amazing! Everything was delicious and also very filling.

💭: You get 3 tacos with the taco dishes. Which was more than enough after the nachos. These ones I had were cauliflower strips battered with different spices. These were delicious. The cauliflower was crunchy on the outside to bite. The combination of sauces with red cabbage made it tasty.

💭: This was roasted seitan with onion. These were very good, except we got offered a spicey sauce to try. It was so hot that we couldn’t finish one of the tacos.

📝: the restaurant was very busy when we got there. You can reserve tables. But we managed to be seated. It’s not a very big restaurant hence making a booking might be a good idea. Staff were lovely. You can see your food being cooked by the chef. Toilet is upstairs and the stairs are steep.

Read moreI ordered the Taco Heura for €8,60. I already read some reviews that it was quite small for a lot of money and it was.. I got 3 small taco’s and it was really tasteful and delicious, but I wasn’t full. I told the staff about it and she didn’t respond really friendly. I think you have to say about it so maybe they can change it.
I ordered another one because I was sill hungry. I think €17,20 for 6 little taco’s is just way too much.. Even if they are delicious.

The price of raw materials for vegan food is much higher than for non-vegan food.

Such a nice little place in the Gothic part of the city. Very good mini tortillas with variations (I tried 3 different! Cauliflower and heura was so tasty!) and friendly staff!!! I loved the little wall with dogs in need of homes. 😀

Read moreLa chica que nos atendió fue majísima y la comida tenía mucho nivel. Nos decantamos por los frijoles refritos, así que estoy deseando volver para probar los nachos, que seguro están a la altura.
También pedimos tacos al pastor y tacos de "chicharrón", a cual más rico, y unas quesadillas de chorizo. Nos animamos con una michelada que, a pesar de ser un sabor especial y salado para una bebida, me gustó.
Para mí el sitio es un 10 porque adoro la comida mexicana y eso de poder elegir entre tantas opciones vegetales es algo que tenía olvidado 🥲
De precios bastante bien para ser Barcelona, la verdad.
