A heaven for someone like me

Having found out that I am allergic to dairy, I was not so optimistic as to what I am going to eat. Mom's saved the day. They have everything anyone could ask for - a gluten-free section, a vegan section, lots of fresh, local, organic produce, not to mention the amazing personal care section. This place is huge and it has everything for everyone.

I was able to find vegan cream cheese, sour cream and cheese. And I stumbled upon Coconut milk yogurt, which was such a happy discovery! They also have great cleaning products and pet section. Will be returning to Mom's again and again.

(Staff is absolutely fantastic!)

Pros: Large food selection , Staff

Great Market!

This medium sized market has more vegan options than major grocery stores do! It’s a fantastic market with a wonderful selection of great quality groceries and dry goods. I had dropped by for some breakfast items while staying in a nearby hotel and found lots of great options. They even have a made-to-order hot food counter with several vegan options—I plan to stop in again before I leave town to try their cauliflower tacos. I wish we had one of these back home!

Pros: So many vegan groceries!

THE BEST GROCERY STORE PERIOD!

The produce is better than anywhere else AND the prices are same or LOWER than Giant! They have so many healthy food options and vegan foods it’s unbelievable. Plus you get to end (near the checkout) w getting takeout at Naked Lunch which is fantastic.
This place is a gem. Everybody should be shopping here.

Decent health food store

It’s a decent store for its size. Feels like a smaller Trader Joe’s.

Pros: Naked Lunch inside the store has vegan options

Cons: Prices are about the same as other nearby stores, Fewer options than Trader Joe’s, Fresh Market, WF

Classic health food store but better

I've been a shopper at this MOM's location for years, and it's just as amazing as when I started shopping here. It has a lovely bulk food items section, some pre-packaged bulk items, great produce, a gluten-free section, many non-dairy items/ alternatives to dairy, tons of snacks, beans/ legumes, sauces, baking needs, breads, ice cream, chocolate and health/ beauty products.

If you're looking for anything healthful that's vegan, you'll find it here. They have some things that are not necessarily as healthful, like Dandies marshmallows, vegan cheese and potato chips and chocolate, but, in the long run, keep it balanced in your food cart, and you're doing well.

It's rare that I don't find what I need at this location! Great prices!

Pros: Produce, Bulk items, Vegan ice cream

Cons: Meat section is never appreciated

THE Place to get Groceries in Town

Among the best visionary, forward thinking grocery stores out there. You can charge your electric car in their parking lot, get all kinds of fresh organic produce and products, get amazing Sappo Hill Soap (try the oatmeal brand!), talk to their friendly intelligent staff who just about refuse to let you carry your bags to your car... this place is the place to be.

They feature a bakery/cafe inside and next door serving up tons of vegetarian/vegan healthy options and goodies.

The prices are also rather fair. Love MOM's!

Pros: Selection, Staff, Prices are fair

Great place

They do sell a good amount of animal products though at the very least they have a quite small meat section. They have tons of vegan food and some vegan employees who are really awesome. They have just about everything you might need at decent prices. However their staff is not well versed in vegan alcohol so if you are looking for beer or wine you might check Barnivore first and bring a list so you can find the vegan beer and wine.

They have great selections of vegan items so you aren't just stuck buying one brand or something and they always try and get local produce and many organic ingredients.

The staff is always nice and willing to learn about veganism if they don't already know and do their best to help you find what you are looking for. Plus they always help bring your groceries to your car. They also have people on hand to help with health and beauty queries or finding items to stay healthy.

Pros: Good selection of vegan goods, friendly and helpful staff, a small localized chain with good prices

Cons: they sell meat and animal products, no real knowledge on vegan alcohol, not within walking distance of metro

It's huge!

I'm used to the MOM in College Park, which is positively tiny compared to the one in Rockville. They have a lot of things in this one that they don't have in other similar shops in the area, including Sheese and Field Roast products. I may have to take the bus up this way more often.

Pros: large selection, reasonable prices

Cons: far from my house
