They don't know what vegan is

I ordered the two rolls on the menu marked as vegan (minus the unagi sauce). I disclosed my dairy allergy when ordering.

I was too excited by the menu's clear vegan labelling, and should have read the description more closely.

One of their "vegan" rolls comes with cream cheese. I put my trust in restaurants every time I order out due to my food allergies.

Luckily, I noticed the dairy before taking a bite so my health isn't suffering. But this place isn't cheap, and I'm upset by the money and time wasted.

Routine Sushi

I used to eat sushi from here every week when I was in high school. Vegan options, friendly staff and delicious food. My boyfriend one time tried to ask about vegan options using the word vegan and they looked at him confused so he wasn’t confident with their answer. However, it was pretty easy to figure out what is and is not vegan.

Not confident in it being vegan

Staff was not knowledgable or helpful of vegan items. I kinda had to guess what was vegan and even asking didn’t help. They at least knew the Yakisoba had egg noodles and the miso soup has fish. My partner and I got three of the veggie rolls and asked for no Unagi sauce on the one that comes with it and assumed it was all vegan.

Pros: My partner enjoyed the rolls

Cons: unhelpful/unknowledgable staff, not as many vegan items as the listing says

Beautifully prepared sushi

6 vegan sushi roll options (be sure to specific no unagi sauce). The seaweed salad is perfectly balanced. Service is great.

Pros: Multiple vegan options , Good service

Cons: Gets busy on a Friday or Saturday night.
