The worst customer service - Edit
Besides the high prices for mediocre food ($7 for a cucumber/tomato 6 piece roll?), the service here is appalling and disgusting.
Read moreI ordered the vegetable udon in broth, and what I received was boiled vegetables and udon in hot water. No seasoning, no flavor, no salt, nothing whatsoever besides noodles and boiled to death veggies in hot water.
I took half of a bite of a carrot slice, a sip of "broth", and immediately told a waiter I wasn't happy with the food. After 10 minutes of waiting, an older woman comes out and immediately starts yelling at me for having the audacity to send the food back.
She wouldn't let me speak, wouldn't look me in the eye, and kept telling me over and over I have to pay for this food regardless or not if it was good or not. I wasn't looking for a comped meal, I was looking for a meal that tasted at the very least, decent.
I asked her if there was a way to make it better, because it was literally just boiled hot water and had no flavor. She kept telling me no, and if I didn't like it, to never come back.
She then went on to tell me she would take 50% off of the meal, when I didn't eat any of it besides half a chunk of carrot, and WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE MEAL BACK. I asked her if I could at least have my food back and she said no, or else she's going to call the cops and charge me full price for a meal that wasn't edible. So my option was either paying for a meal I didn't get to eat or have the cops come because I didn't want to pay for a meal I didn't get to eat.
At that point I didn't trust any of the food out of fear of tampering so I paid the bill and left.
Really depressing experience and reading the low reviews for the restaurant, I'm at least relieved to know it's not just me.
Working in a restaurant sucks, I get it. But the entire point is making your customers happy and serving good food. I've never seen or heard of a manager telling a customer to never come back instead of doing what they can to make their experience better by at least taking the food back to season it.

Good Vegan Options - Edit
The rolls were quite good, and there appeared to be a few options more that I'd like to try. Unfortunately the staff did not seem too knowledgeable about the vegan options and were rather dismissive of me when I asked about it.

They have the usual veggie rolls, as well as additional vegan items that are currently not listed on the menu. For example, you can ask for garden roll and tomato (vegan spicy tuna) roll. And everything is delicious. If you mention that you are vegan/vegetarian, they can tell you about their options. The staff is wonderful and has been very kind and accommodating to us. Cute environment, great for dates.

Great, welcoming atmosphere. Typical veg options for an Asian restaurant but there's special vegan rolls and other appetizers. They have an amazing garden roll with lemon and avocado as well as a vegan sushi pizza that is pricey and small but delicious. Ask for vegan options and they will tell you about these.

Good veggie sushi - Edit
Avocado roll, sweet potato roll and the peanut butter avocado roll are my three favorites. There are a few other veggie based rolls too...mushroom, radish and squash, all pretty good too. Friendly service and a good location (lots of stores all around).
