Fantastisch groentefeest - Edit

Momento is mijn place to go voor een rustig etentje. Ze hebben ruime openingstijden, en het is vaak niet al te druk. Het menu is gezond en lekker, er zijn gerechten die groente-gefocust zijn en anders dan de standaard vega-gerechten, waardoor elke keer weer een (smaak)feest is. Nog een top: de groentegerechtem staan boven de vleesgerechten op het menu :). De porties zijn wel redelijk groot, we komen hier nooit tot een volledig 3-gangenmenu omdat we al vol zitten.

Food was cold - Edit

I went there with my boyfriend, but the food was cold and we were the only ones there. The dessert was nice, but I wouldn't go there again.

Vegetable extravaganza! - Edit

Momento is a large lunchroom-bar-restaurant located in the rozet building adjacent to the library. The interior is pretty cosy with second hand chairs and big plants.

Service is very fast and friendly. Unfortunately the menu doesn't indicate which dishes are vegan but don't let that scare you off. Normally they always have something vegan on the menu and the staff is very willing to double check in the kitchen.

Today there was a vegan pumpkin soup as a starter and 2 main dish options. They both sounded tempting but I tried the celeriac steak with mushrooms. It was delicious! Not only was the steak perfectly cooked (I never thought I would ever use that phrase :p) and the flavours and textures perfectly complemented eachother!

As a drink I really enjoyed the tea, especially as you can pick from a set of jars with loose tea. The only bit of waste is the cotton cachet.
Will definitely go again to try out the cauliflower with cashew crust.
