YUM! Great vegan options.

Mofu has a lovely ambiance and delightful vegan food. We got the impossible dumplings, the vegan tofu bao buns, miso soup and coconut corn curry rice bowl (my least favorite but still delicious).

The only thing I wish they’d do differently is label the vegan/can be made vegan options clearly on the menu. The hostess was a great help in checking in with the chef and giving us a rundown of the vegan/can be made vegan options

SO GOOD

The D’Impossible & Chive Dumplings and Twice-Cooked Tofu were amazing. The Coconut Corn Curry was also good, and the pickled veggies were some of the best I’ve ever had!

Pros: So many vegan options , Super tasty , Creative

Extremely disappointed

In town on business. Skipped a business event due to a lack of vegan offerings there. I’m going solo. Lucky me, I find Mofu. Vegan options look SO promising. HappyCow says they are open. (Also note that Google and Yelp say they are open. I have screenshots of all and I sent it to them directly). I catch an Uber, happy to eat the cost of the 30 minute Uber ride in order to get some great food! Finally arrive. Guess what? Closed. I’m standing outside the door, thinking about the totally wasted trip. Stupid me, I’ll probably come back later in the week anyway. But this is really really bad. C’mon Mofu… I’m sure you make plenty of money and have a nice built-in business… so you probably don’t give a damn about this, but can you PLEASE take a few minutes to make appropriate updates? It is so very simple. Just sad right now. Headed back to my hotel. Looks like a gardettos and oreos kinda night.

Great vegan options

MOFU has some wonderful vegan options & a very knowledgeable & helpful staff. We shared three small plates and it was SO much food!! We had:
1. The vegan dumplings with impossible meat (super well seasoned)
2. The Brussels sprouts vegan style (no cream) — amazing!!!
3. The vegan popcorn mushrooms - we didn’t care for the sauce and the mushrooms are a tiny bit too salty, but still really good.

Overall, super impressed & will be back.

Pleasant surprise

We visited MOFU Shoppe without knowing what to expect for the vegan options, and were pleasantly surprised. Our server was very friendly and helpful - they knew what vegan meant and help us with our inquiries and gave recommendations. A few things were already vegan, and a few others could easily be veganized. We ended up ordering an appetizer, plus two small plates and one large plate to share. By the time the large plate arrived we were stuffed and had to take most of it home for leftovers. The General Woo Brussels Sprouts (veganized version) were our favorite and the most surprising - the way they were roasted and the flavoring of the sauce was fantastic! The puffed tofu and cauliflower was my second favorite, closely followed by the orange-glazed fried mushrooms. We will definitely go back. There are several vegan options on the lunch menu as well that I want to try.
