Incredible atmosphere - Edit
The food is great but it's worth going for the atmosphere alone, built around a social courtyard and pool. They also have plenty of began beer options.

I traveled 5 hours for this and I'll be back tomorrow! - Edit
If there weren't a million reasons to go vegan, these El Pastor tacos alone would have flipped me! Paired with a lime and salt ice lager. Mmm

Chill poolside - Edit
This place is so cool. It's a brewery with a pool. You can enjoy your food and beverage poolside or in the dog friendly patio. Bring your swimsuit and take a dip in the pool. I had the Chorizo Mac and cheese and the classic burger. The burger was basic but very good. You even get a pickle wedge. I also enjoyed the creamy Mac and cheese. It was loaded with Chorizo. It was cool sitting at the pool. You could easily spend the day here.

Beer, coffee & vegan food! - Edit
Their beers are good, their coffee is good (they have a whole separate cafe) and their food is good, it is a delicious trio. It is so great to be able to order anything off the menu for snacking at a brewery! I like to get multiple small pours of beers to try different ones. Or a pour over coffee and a chocolate chip cookie from the cafe.

new cafe - Edit
Stopped by the modern times cafe that opened more recently to get some work done! Really cute space (very homey) with a ton of both indoor & outdoor seating. Ordered the chorizo potato turnover and salted maple latte and both were super good!

So good! - Edit
It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Tried the fried dill potato’s. They were huge but my favorite thing. I still think about them. We also got the onions rings which I regret because it was too much food.

Vegan Brewery with a Poolside Vibe - Edit
Modern Times is one of my favorite breweries and this location does not disappoint. The leisure town concept captures the historical area perfectly with the restored Craftsman house to the midcentury vibe by the pool. Everything is impeccably clean as breweries should be.
Read moreThe COVID protocols are very high and enforced with masks required anytime you leave your table and the staff masked, gloved, and tables cleared and sanitized in a timely manner.
The Beer selection is excellent with several styles to choose from and I indulged in 2 Hazy IPA's and tasted 1 additional. I have to say my favorite was the Orderville followed by the Tycho, these were both classic hazy IPA's nicely balanced hops and malt. I also tried the a Pineapple Hazy, it was not something I would recommend more than a few ounces of, it was just a bit much and reminded me of an undercooked Pineapple upside down cake. I know odd. But overall if you are familiar with Modern Times you know that like to play with flavors and generally hit the mark.
The food, I ordered the Munchwrap, this seems to be a super popular item on the menu, It was really good and filling they managed a good crunch on the tortilla without wilting the veggies inside and melting the Cheeze. There were other items that I wanted to try more, but due to COVID you are required to purchase food with you first pour and panic ordered the Munchwrap, instead of the Hot Chik'n but I will be back there again very soon to try all the things.
Pros: Great staff cool Vibe, No smoking/vaping, Variety of food and Beverages
Cons: No table service

Great setup - Edit
Visited on a Covid Sunday - sensible precautions in place (face masks - digital menu - seating all out side etc. Really great set up - courtyard area for seating with brewery/tap room on one side and two-high shipping containers to order drinks / collect food / more seating. Good/interesting selection of all vegan foods. Looking forward to to going back to try more food and beer.
