Restaurant founded 2014 by vegan chef and author, Isa Chandra Moskowitz. Previously on 50th St. Cuisine is billed as "swanky vegan comfort food." Example of menu choices are snickers pie, buffalo seitan, biscuits & gravy, beet tartare, waffles n' seitan, lentil mash, and scrambled ranchero. Brunch on Sun until 3pm. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday 4pm to 5:30pm; reverse Happy Hour is Monday through Thursday 8pm to 9pm. Open Mon-Fri 4:00pm-9:00pm, Wed-Fri 11:30am-3:00pm, Sat-Sun 10:00am-9:00pm.

Bad Customer Service - Edit
While I do appreciate the fact that it is fully vegan, there is a customer service issue that the store hasn't resolved, and is making up reasons to not resolve it. They are fabricating a reason to not give me a full refund, or remake an item. I am a very loyal customer to businesses that provide customer service, but I won't be going back to this location even though I am a vegan.

This place was so delicious! I got the nachos and chickpea parm sandwich. The chickpea patty was kind of dry but with the sauce and cheese, the sandwich wasn't dry. The nachos were so filling and they didn't skimp on the toppings!

I got the pepperjack cheese steak and the fried cashew mozz. It was all so good! Definitely the best mozz sticks/balls I've ever had. The sandwich was massive (and delicious), so definitely well worth the price. I got it for lunch so it came with a side. The potato salad was refreshing but a bit eggy tasting, which was unexpected.

Great seitan buffalo bites - Edit
My partner and I got the bucket of buffalo seitan wings. It came with a large container of house made ranch dip and veggies (celery, lettuce, etc). In total is was 19$, and was a large portion for the price. They were some of the best buffalo bites either of us had ever had! Happy cow has this place listed at $$$, but I think that that is an overestimation of the price. It is a nice restaurant, but the prices are fair and maybe more like $$.

This restaurant was amazing! The food was extremely good!! We went for the lunch specials which were an enormous amount of food for the price! We got sandwiches and burgers. Some of the appetizers and entrees we saw on the menu were pricey tho. Also, the chocolate peanut butter milkshake is totally worth it.

We had a great experience here. I had a spinach phyllo pie that was really good (like a spanikopita which I’ve been missing in my life) and the kale Caesar salad with a caper-tahini dressing and cornmeal-crusted tofu. All very good. The entrees looked really tasty and interesting.

Modern love is some FINE vegan dining. It is pricier but everything is vegan and the serving size is large (at least in my opinion - I always have leftovers to take home!) There is so much variety from appetizers to meals to desserts to fun drinks! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s a great location too, right by some great spots in Omaha to walk around!

Was greeted by a host on my way in; was offered dining or bar. I travel a lot so I sat at the bar and was greeted by a friendly bartender. She went through the menu, made several recommendations and I enjoyed some delightful food. I truly feel this place hits the mark and anyone should easily be able to eat at Modern Love and enjoy the food. Portions were huge, I’m not convinced that’s a great idea but the value is high. The food quality matched the huge portions; on point!

Whenever I fly into Omaha, Modern Love is my first stop after the airport. We make a reservation a week ahead of time, and I decline airplane snacks so I can eat as much as possible here. Because the options are so varied and creative, it’s easy to please a group as well as decide what will suit my taste in that moment without being overwhelmed by an abundance of dishes that are very similar. I’ve never ordered the same thing twice, and I’ve always been delighted.

Since we didn’t think of making a reservation, we grabbed some seats at the bar and started ordering like it was our last meal ever. Creative menu from start to finish (didn’t actually make it to desserts though.) Some ‘traditional’ vegan faves like nachos and cauliflower wings were prepared with some new flair. The salads and entrees were just so good. They did something with mushrooms that revolutionized my taste buds. Great experience in Omaha!

I ate here January 2019 and am just now getting around to writing a review. I actually planned a trip from Alaska to Omaha just to eat here and I was not disappointed. The cauliflower wings and the Brussels sprouts were incredible enough that I ate them two nights in a row. Everything I ate was delicious. I can’t wait to go back.

I fly in to Omaha for work every couple of months and i always go to modern love. The food is some of the best vegan food you can find. They are very creative with their specials. My favorite appetizer is the buffalo seitan wings. They are a must! But, you honesty can’t go wrong with anything.

My husband and I celebrate all our special dates at Modern Love. The starters, mains and desserts are spectacular. It is such a pleasure to be able to order any item on the menu and know I will be safe from dairy products. Their new cheese plate is perfect with a glass of wine. Desserts, though, are what I appreciate the most. The recipes are complex, which I appreciate. I get to enjoy meals that would’ve taken me a full day to prep and cook for myself. That’s the magic of Modern Love, delicious food that didn’t keep me in the kitchen for many hours! Reservations encouraged.
