The MIU dining hall menu is lacto-vegetarian only. Popular with faculty, students, and local vegetarians. Large variety of fresh organic food, remarkably good for a university dining hall. NOTE: Please verify if still fully vegetarian. Open Mon-Sat 9:00am-8:30pm.

Simple healthy food - Edit
Simple sattvic and Ayurvedic menu served cafeteria style. Majority of options are vegan or vegetarian. Lunch is usually the best menu of the day.

Reliable healthy food - Edit
It is all organic and they always have Dahl and salad bar in addition to the meal of the day. In-expensive as it is all you can eat and organic.

Remarkably improved. Lots of vegan options! - Edit
I was super impressed when I came back to eat here after years away. Vegan options are plentiful and clearly labeled. On any given day, there are usually only 2-3 non-vegan choices.
Read moreThe salad bar is epic. I find it hard to eat anything except a giant heaping plate of fresh, organic salad. Varieties of lettuce, shredded carrots, beets, sprouts, spinach, beans, nuts, cherry tomatoes, etc.
There's also a cooler with lots of soy, almond, and local dairy milk. A glass of chocolate milk makes a sweet end to the meal.
There's also a good condiment spread, with berbere, chickpea salad spread, tofu spread, jam, and sunflower seed butter.
It's easy to eat a balanced, healthy, organic, filling meal here. Very good value for the money.
Pros: Organic, local, vegan options!, Great salad bar
Cons: Can be crowded at peak times
