Okay - Edit
It was decent and well priced but most of the things I asked for she said they haven’t cooked them today so I need to pick something else. I wanted to try foods I couldn’t get back at home but ended up with fried noodles and fake meat because that is what she could cook today. It was decent for 5.50 dollars but overall wasn’t too impressed by service or the food

Inexpensive meals. - Edit
There’s not much to eat at in Brunei and this is one of the few places I visited while passing through on my way to Miri. Enjoyed everything I ordered. Delicious and inexpensive.

Great Buddhist-veg place - Edit
On the 1st and 15th day of the Chinese calendar, this place is crowded with devout Buddhists who are vegetarian for a day. They serve great buffet-style Asian food with everything from fried noodles to beancurd desserts, and operate on a pay-as-you-wish basis.

Ginger Fish - Edit
Jumped in a taxi to get something to eat on our first night in Brunei. We followed the advice of fellow Happy Cow users and found ourselves at this restaurant. What a great little place. Cheap, and friendly staff. The Ginger Fish was really good!! Would definitely recommend this casual restaurant to anyone staying nearby.

Very tasty! - Edit
I was surprised to find vegan food in a country as small in Brunei, but I was happily surprised with this one. It's a bit of a walk from the centre, but I'd say it's worth it.
Read moreLoved the bapao (steamed bread buns) with mushroom inside. I also enjoyed my dinner of rice with vegan 'butter chicken' with cereal. Odd combination I saw more often in Asia, tastes really amazing. Price was quite low for local standards.

Tasty Vegan Food - Edit
Everything we ordered was delicious from the satay to a spinach dish with mock meat bits, it was all tasty. There is a fair bit of mock meats, but nothing was oily . . . again, everything was full of flavor and good portion sizes – they had no problem packing up our leftovers.

The directions should be updated a bit. Mitu is not on the hospital side of the Seri Complex. It's in the complex behind the Hotel Badi'ah, across from the Golden Leaf Coffeehouse.

Pros: Yummy, tasty vegan food, vegan versions of S.E. Asian dishes, the mock meats were good.
Cons: If you miss the entrance to the complex, you have to drive a mile to get back.

Lovely traditional restaurant - Edit
If I had to describe Mituo in one word, it would be sincerity. The owners of mituo are all philanthropists and wonderful people. We enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant where all the uncles and aunties know each other and are nice to each other. Often bickering to pay each others bills!
