What don’t I like about Miss Sina! As a local it’s one of my weekly go-to’s and it’s always a lovely feeling to be greeted by the friendly staff and fabulous owner Miss Sina herself, especially the long time staff who greet you like an old friend 🤣 (shoutout to Emil!)
Read moreThe menu items are great and often have something new to try, but it’s gotta be the pastries for me - there is nowhere else that does them like Sina’s! The cabinets are always filled to the brim with exquisitely beautiful treats, from Paris Brest and eclairs to German Bee stings and Aussie classics Neenish tarts! 🥐🍓🥮
The savoury pastries are also a personal favourite - especially the French onion danish - but they are always changing so if you see something you like on their well kept socials (the instagram is an experience in itself!) then you better be quick to try it before the next amazing concoction takes its place 🍭🩷
P.s. they also put on social and charity events in store like queer cupcake decorating, rescue kitten fundraisers, Ramadan night hours!

Really love walking into Miss Sina's and seeing the wonderful sweet treats in the glass cabinet. We ordered some breakfast with a side of Margherita Pizza, couldn't resist. The Farmer Scramble was very tasty but would have been good to have had the baked beans alreasy included rather than a side option. The Big German Breakfast wasn't really that big, and it was a bit pricey at $25. However we still enjoyed it and would go back for the dessert that we didn't have room for.

Small portions, nice food. - Edit
Ordered the "Farmers Scramble" ($18) and a Hash Brown ($3)... Whilst the food was quite nice, the portion and value for money wasn't great..
Read moreIf I didn't pay extra and get a hash brown, there would have been maybe 6 fork fulls of scrambled tofu and 2 small to medium peices of toast on the plate. For $18 in my books, that's not great value, considering there was maybe $4 worth of ingredients on the plate.
The hashbrown was also nice, but when I've paid $21 for a meal and left the place still hungry, it's not a good look. Wouldn't be rushing back for menu items.
The cabinet pastries looked very good, and we got a 1x golden gaytime scroll and 1x cinnamon scroll. These were delicious and of a good size, but as you would expect, costing $10 and $8.50 respectively. These were soft and delicious.
In two minds as I had high hopes (and was excited to go here) it's become one of the inner west's go-to places for vegans.
In short, I wouldn't be going back for the menu items, but I would try again for coffee and pastries
Pros: Delicious pastries, Friendly, Cosy vibes
Cons: Small portion, Poor value for money

Miss Sina's amazing vegan food - Edit
We loved being able to choose anything on the menu, because it's all Vegan! We loved the traditional flavour profiles, like Cream and Waffles and Sauerkraut and Bratwurst, giving Vegans a realistic comparison to meat and dairy. As a reformed meat eater, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. If you want excellent, flavourful, quality meals, desserts, baked goods, and drinks, you first stop should be Miss Sina! You won't be disappointed!

Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Donuts are soft and not too sweet. There's some savory options too and those are very good too.

Delicious pastries, so many options - Edit
This place has an amazing array of vegan pastries, cakes and sweets ( other cooked items we didn't try). Just the right amount of sweetness in their desserts, this is top tier list of the Vegan places in Sydney

Death by AMAZING pastries - Edit
Wow! This place surpassed all of our expectations. We ended up sharing 3 pastries, which wasn’t even a dent in the HUGE menu they offer. We had the pizza scroll, followed by the mango sticky rice pastry and the strawberry and cream croissant. Each of them were so different and took us by surprise. The mango sticky rice was so unique and it’s refreshing to try new things as a vegan. We bought a cherry lamington to takeaway and we’re excited to try it when we’re not so full later on!!! Lovely experience, beautiful food.

Honestly, I dream about their donuts - Edit
I'm not joking, we waited patiently for Miss Sina to open their Marrickville location, and once they did, we did not walk, we ran! The place is great for people watching, it's cosy inside and has some outdoor seating for when it's hot. The staff are really friendly and the coffee is good but the foooood. The donuts are out of this world, the pastry is to die for, the brunch is delicious. I don't live in Australia anymore, but moving back just for Miss Sina is definitely on the cards.

Thumbs up for cinnamon scrolls - Edit
Line was out the door when I arrived on a public holiday but it moved quickly enough and it gave me time to eye off the cabinet. Everything looked incredible but I hadn’t had a scoll since the pre-vegan days and went for that. Very very generously sized (other half is in my freezer for later), great texture and lovely creamy lemon icing. Pricey but I did love what I had and I appreciate the time and skill that went into developing the recipe and making the goods.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place - Edit
This bakery is just amazing. We came here twice during our 5 days in Sydney and I want to go back again.
Read moreThe standouts were the danishes (zucchini; mashed potato; and potato truffle were my favourites), the danish is so crispy and flaky and crunchy. The mozzarella cheese was more like a bechamel sauce, delicious.
The raspberry tart was a sensation for the eyes and the tastebuds, the crispy pastry, non sour raspberries, and AMAZZING thick non-oily cream. I would love to see them do a Boston cream donut with that amazing cream.
The creme brulee donut was also so pretty, and delicious, with a perfect thick sugar glaze.
It was filled with a custard/cream type mix, which was very good.
The Opera cake was tasty mix of coffee and chocolate layers, without being overly sweet.
The garlic and cheese scroll, and the bacon and cheese scroll were bland (surprisingly couldn't even taste the bacon) but the texture was crispy and airy, but a bit oily.
The Tim Tam brownie was the only let down, it was not brownie texture, more like a very rich cake, with a THICK layer of icing, and a generous swirl of chocolate cream. It looked very cute but was too sweet for my liking.
We came back a couple of days later for breakfast (which finishes at 2pm) and tried their big brekky, which was indeed generously portioned. The housemade hash brown was delicious and crispy, and the baked beans were tasty. I'm glad I tried it, and the option is there, but I do prefer their bakery items.
We also ordered the pesto tomato mozzarella pizza slice, which was a very thick based pizza, and was mediocre. The choc chip cookie was outstanding though, chewy in the middle. Also, the banana pecan fritter was SO GOOD, with a soft, bouncy texture inside, crispy on the outside.
I LOVE this place so much, the seating outside can be very noisy and polluted with lots of traffic, so I would sit inside.

Kitchen closes at 2 - great food, disorganized service. - Edit
I came here twice. The first time during ANZAC Day, evidently with too many customers for an understaffed holiday. Great food and the staff tried to do their best, but everything felt extremely chaotic, some options already gone before noon, big queue, confused orders etc. Today, we left North Sydney specifically to try the savoury dishes at Marrackville that they don't offer at Surry Hills. We arrived at 1:58 PM, they close at 4 PM, but apparently the kitchen closes at 2 PM and specifically today, go figure, they had to close the kitchen earlier because they had too many orders or something. On the showcase, only sweet options available, and they did not match what was written on the glass... We left without eating anything because it just felt like a waste of time and money. So yeah, great food, but they really need to work on service and availability.

Tentative four stars - Edit
Couldn't contain my excitement when I first came here so I bought a pizza slice, a chocolate croissant, an almond croissant, and a rhubarb cheesecake. I was happy with the quality of all the items, however, I detected the irksome taste of nuttelex in the croissants. I've had wayyy better vegan croissants in Sydney.

I haven’t had a cheesecake in years, so my opinions may be a bit warped, but the berry cheesecake tasted exactly how I remember them, if not even better. My sister enjoyed the almond croissant as a non vegan.
