Serves meat, vegan options available. Pizza place, with three dedicated vegan pizzas (margherita, quattro stagioni and Mediterranean veggie all with vegan cheese) and others which can be made with vegan cheese if requested (mushroom, antipasti etc). Also, vegan sides such as sweet potato fries. Also has real ales and choice of other beer, wines etc. Takes bookings for inside and outside (May 2021 under Covid restrictions). Open Mon-Tue 16:00-23:00, Wed-Sat 12:00-23:00, Sun 12:00-20:00. Closed Mon.

What an amazing find - Edit
The best vegan pizza I've ever had! There are plenty of options for vegans, the staff are very helpful and it wasn't a problem to swap any of the toppings. The pub has a lovely local vibe to it and all the staff made everyone feel welcome (including any furbabies) There were plenty of drink options too and the staff were very knowledgeable about what was suitable for vegans both with the food and drink.

Lovely pub, nice pizza - Edit
The Minster Inn is a classic Edwardian pub, close enough to the city centre to be convenient but far enough away to escape the tourist crowds. It's a five minute walk from my home so I go there quite a lot.
Read moreYou can settle in with a pizza & a pint in one of three cosy rooms or enjoy the heated outdoor space at the rear. There are four vegan pizzas to choose from. Everything I have tried is good. Thankfully the vegan cheese is nice, which isn't always the case elsewhere! Moreover, there's always a good range of craft ales on tap.

Tasty pizza - Edit
The pizza here is always delicious, and the vegan choice is great. There are also enough sides to fill you up. Plenty of vegetarian and other options as well for other people.
Read moreStaff are very friendly and will advise you on drinks etc. I recommend the quattro stagioni vegan version and a pint of Sunbeam or Cascade.
When we booked (late May 2021), there were lots more tables outside, which is covered and has heaters. Tables seem quite close together, but Covid restrictions were being followed.
Pros: Delicious pizza, Friendly staff, Great real ales
Cons: Quite crowded outside
