Kosher dairy- several vegan options

I'm not sure why it states "meat" in the description. As a dairy kosher restaurant, you can be confident no meat is being prepared or served there.
There are many vegan options, one of which is the falafel, which is my favorite. Everything not vegan is vegetarian and/or dairy.
Nothing fancy is to be seen, but the staff is friendly and fast, the portions are generous, and the vegetables are fresh.
Orders are placed at the counter or a kiosk in the restaurant.

Pros: Fresh produce, Fast service, Large portions

Cons: Decor

Do y’all have taste buds?

Can’t believe the reviews of this place considering my food tasted like paper. Nice service staff but can I get a little seasoning, or salt at least?
Also why offer so many vegan options but not one single vegan pizza option?

Awesome vegan options

The menu is clearly labeled with which items are vegand and since they have soy cheese, you can make a lot of items vegan too. Staff was super friendly as well and the "chicken" avocado pesto sandwich (with soy cheese) was really really tasty.

Pros: Lots of clearly marked vegan options, Customization options, Super friendly staff

Pretty good

Vegan menus were marked with a “v”, and I was told anything with cheese could be made with vegan cheese. I loved the avocado pesto “chicken” wrap and garlic knots I got.

The atmosphere is lacking here... pretty standard deli/cafeteria kind of vibe.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Tasty, Street parking wasn’t difficult

Cons: Serves fish

Great service, Great variety, Great place!

We discovered the Milky Way, as we had a wedding in West Virginia and needed to find someone who could prepare kosher vegetarian food and pack it so that it could be reheated by the caterer at the various event functions. Chaya was helpful and responsible via E-Mail and Milky Way really came through in the clutch with incredible food, perfectly packed and prepared and they even opened outside of normal business hours to give us the food for our convenience.

We had one opportunity to eat there and almost everything we tried was fantastic. I had the "Dyna-Mite" Veggie Burger. It was really good, filled with Fried onions, Jalapenos and an asian hot sauce, and the burger tasted fresh and home made. My wife had a salad where they offered a wide variety of veges and Dressings, and my folks had a Veggie Meatball sub which was dripping with Sauce, Veggie Meatballs and Cheese. The only thing which we found disappointing was the Pizza, which in terms of the flavor and the crust did not taste like Classic New York Pizza.

For the wedding they packed us many main Dishes and the best one we tried was the Portabella Melt. Like all the other dishes we had from Milky Way, The portions are very generous and they are packed with Quality ingredients. This place gives you your money's worth and more.

Milky Way is by no means a fancy dining experience as the place itself looks like a pizza shop, but don't be fooled by looks, this is no mere pizzeria either! With it's varied menu of foods for all meals of the day, and it's quick and friendly service, The Milky Way has all the fixings of a great Kosher Vegetarian Diner. With a host of creative vegetarian selections, (of which many can be made Vegan as well), this place was an amazing find in Pittsburgh PA.

Pros: Big Portions at very affordable prices, Varied Menu, Great Service and flavors

Nice little veg-ish deli

Too bad about the fish, because other than that, this simple vegetarian cafe is pretty awesome. Their "chicken" and other veg meats are all vegan, so any kind of sandwich that doesn't have cheese is vegan, unless it's fish. Again. Really. Too bad about that fish, huh?

Places like this are important for Pittsburgh. It's really just an unassuming Jewish deli kind of a place, but it also happens to be vegetarian. While sitting in there, all kinds of different people from all walks of life came in and got food. They were playing Fox News, oy vey. I really liked the counter person. I got the impression this is a family place.

Pros: yummy, welcoming

Cons: fish, Fox News

Pizza & Hoagies - Oh My!

This place has THE BEST eggplant pizza I've ever had. And in the summer, I like to get their veggie "meat"ball hoagies. So delish. They've even got veggie "chicken" wraps, which I can't wait to try.

I tried their falafel, and it left more to be desired. A bit bland, and not at all spicy.

Pros: pizza, vegge meatballs, veggie chicken

Cons: bland falafel
