New Owners, New Business :) - Edit
The older reviews are for a different business with different owners. The new owner is kind, knowledgeable and boldly advertised “Vegan Pizza Now Available!” on their storefront. The pizza is good, we got vegan sausage crumbles, bell pepper, onion & black olives. Super thankful for another option here for us in Wyomissing/West Reading.

It's always a good day for pizza. - Edit
I saw on the FB page that they decided to bring the vegan pizza back so wanted to check it out. We called to ensure their sauce *does not* have animal fat. Got a large vegan cheese pizza cuz it wasn't available in the other sizes but that's ok, more pizza is not a bad thing!
Read moreIt smelled a little funny (that's vegan cheese for ya) but it was very tasty. Had a decent amount of cheese compared to some places. Definitely looking forward to seeing what else they have to offer.
I was excited to see them advertising vegan pizza outside and inside the store instead of making it some kind of dirty, shameful secret where you have to go around back and do the secret vegan knock to get slid a vegan pizza through the door slot 🤣
Pros: Good cheese coverage , Tasty, Under new management/name
Cons: Only large size (that may be a pro though!)

Can't trust it :( - Edit
Not only do they charge an arm and a leg for vegan pie or boli, they have a bit of a reputation for not being veg friendly. More than one person I know has received food from here, was told it was vegan, only to find out that it was not even vegetarian. Example: bacon fat in the pizza sauce. They found out after the fact that this was part of Georgios recipe for many years. 🤢 Or there was the time I ordered pizza from them and could tell it was made with regular cheese instead of vegan cheese and the staff argued with me about it and proceeded to talk about me with their coworkers while I stood there waiting for a replacement to be made. The guy continually made remarks about how terrible and disgusting the vegan cheese is... Yeah very professional. Last example I'll share was the time 3 of us ordered food, were told it would be ready in 45 mins, went to pick it up and the order was never put through and never made. We waited another 45 mins for them to make our food for which they offered no discount or apology.

Wow, scary! We ordered one pizza and one calzone: over $50¡ All we could do was laugh.

Hi Guys, i am the new owner. I read some of the comments here, but unfortunately, that was a different restaurant at the times you posted. We do not put Bacon in sauce.... completely different menu and owners. We did not take over until 2023. Hope you guys will give us a shot!

Great Pizza - Edit
The pizza is delicious and the service was great too. The markup for vegan cheese seems a little high and is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. I will definitely be back to try out the stromboli.

Yummy! But can be improved… - Edit
Like the other reviewer said, it’s unfortunate that the shop uses Daiya which as we know is one of the worst brands you can use (yet it’s still so popular???) but it means so much to me that I can order my own pie with my omni friends! The pepperoni & sausage options are good, and I enjoy the stromboli ❤️ luckily for me, this spot is a few blocks from me. I don’t think I would travel for their pies, but if you’re in the area it is worthwhile😄I would easily pay one or two more bucks if they used a higher quality cheeze.

Update: Georgio’s is now Michaelangelo’s. Claiming the same menu, vegan options of pizza & Stromboli have been removed, with a black bean burger being an option. Gluten- free crust remains an option.

Impressed - Edit
I ordered a 16" vegan cheese pizza over the phone. Fast and friendly service. My pizza came out of the oven just as I went in to pick it up! Perfectly on time! My expectations for the pizza itself were not very high as they use the Daiya brand of vegan cheese and I'm not a big fan of it, but wow, this place did Daiya some justice! It actually melted! So impressed. I ate the entire thing by myself for dinner and I have no regrets. I've been craving more ever since. I would like to see more vegan options on the menu, including different cheese options from brands other than Daiya. My only complaints are that they're not fully vegan, and I am just a little bit too far away for delivery.
