Nice staff, meh food - Edit
Huge amount of food in an order (2 meals worth for me!), but other than the very good salsa, it wasn’t very tasty. Great staff, very kind.

Like the other folks who posted, this wasn’t the best vegan/Mexican meal I’ve ever had, but it’s OK and hit the spot. I had just arrived in Ft Worth on business and was tired and hungry.

Avoid if you can - Edit
I had to go to a restaurant downtown, so I chose this place because they have three vegan tacos on the menu.
Read moreI got the crispy avocado tacos because the other two had mushrooms and I didn't want to risk undercooked mushrooms as I'm not really a mushroom fan.
The tacos were cold, which should have been obvious, but was a surprise to both me and my friend who also got them. So it was just three hard tacos filled with guacamole, basically. It was too much. Plus, no protein.
Uncle Julio's was better. I was also sad to not try Mariachi's Drive In, which has a full vegan menu. I appreciate the effort, but Mi Cocina can do better.

The food wasn't astounding (I got the Tacos 'De Papa's) but it was good and tasted fresh. Portion sizes were good.

They have three options on the vegano section of the menu as well as the guac appetizer. I had the crispy guac tacos which were acceptable. I wish they had tofu or some sort of vegan protein as well as cheese.

A few vegan options - Edit
I've been here several times. They have a few vegan options that are pretty good. It's more of a place for vegans to go to when going out with non-vegans or if there's not many other vegan options nearby and you're in a hurry. They have chips and salsa, chips and quacamole, salad (but may not be much left after taking off the non vegan food), and three solid vegan meals. Two of the three vegan meals are tacos. I haven't had the third meal yet. Be sure to request a salad dressing that's vegan.
