Mediteranian food with many vegan options

I had a lentile soup that was very tasty. The vegan options are clearly marked with green signs. The place is small but have an authentic colorful design, and it's a big surprise to enter it from a rather dirty and gray street. The lady that worked there was friendly and spoke english.

Pros: The lentile soup was great, Many vegan tapas, Friendly staff

Cons: More warm vegan options would be nice

Small Mediterranean place with a lot of different mezes

Went here spontaneously for lunch and it was very tasty.

They offer a lot of different mezes and most of them are vegan (green label is vegan, yellow is vegetarian and blue is meat). You can either pick your own plate and weigh it all together or you choose a menu plate (they offer three different ones for a fixed price) where you then choose which salad and paste you want. I had the 2nd plate and added an extra dolma to try. Everything was really tasty and I liked that you are able to try a lot of different things. It’s not super much food for the price (8,90€) but we got a basket of bread for free which I thought was very nice.

Would definitely recommend going here if you like Mediterranean food, keep in mind though that the place is very small and does not offer big tables for bigger groups. I liked the interior and it almost felt like we were sitting outside in a more warm place. I can also see myself going here and buying different meze to bring back home.

A Taste of The Mediterranean

I went here for lunch with my sister. The place was pretty small and when we arrived around 1:30 pm it was almost full.

The interior design was cozy and chaotic. There were things everywhere; on the walls, on the floor and hanging from the ceiling. On one wall there were three mirrors with window casings - super random and made me chuckle. The size and vibe reminded me of Alaska Bar but more Mediterranean and less pro-veganism. I liked it.

We stood by the counter and tried to figure out how the menu worked. Eventually I gave up and asked someone from the staff what was vegan, and she answered that every dish in the deli counter with a green name label was. Luckily that was about 80% of them! My sister was able to deduce that the blue name labels were for meat dishes and the yellow were for vegetarian dishes.

She further explained that we could either pick single dishes from the counter for either 2,29€ per 100g or, for certain dishes, for a fixed cost per piece, or we could choose one of the three combinations on the black board and pick our deli dishes based on that. The three combinations were the following:

Combination 1 (6,90€)
- 2 pastes (like hummus, black olive paste)
- 1 salad
- Olives
- 2 dolmas

Combination 2 (8,50€)
- 1 vegetable ball
- 1 filled aubergine
- 2 pastes (like hummus, black olive paste)
- 1 salad
- Olives

Combination 3 (9,50€)
- 1 Millet ball
- 3 pastes (like hummus, black olive paste)
- 1 salad
- Olives
- 3 dolmas

I decided to have combination 2 and add a single dolma (0,50€). On top of that we got a big basket of bread for free. Everything tasted well, especially the chili paste and kimir. I felt like my portion was pretty small though.

Important!! If you take a combination be clear that it should be vegan as some of the items in the combinations aren't. All combinations can be veganized.

I had a nice time at Meze Haus and would be happy to go back some time!
