Comfort food - Edit
We got the vegan plate - a warm comfort meal. I have never had Ethiopian Food, but I did expect more flavour and spice. It was good, but somewhat bland. Friendly owner and a super cute spot to have lunch, we will be back for sure!

Good and inexpensive - Edit
This was a great find here in Victoria. Small and not many tables but the food is very good and great for the price! Enjoyed it immensely and will go back.

Not that good. - Edit
Maybe caught it on a bad day. Ethiopian food should be like a taste explosion. The flavor here was definitely lacking. Very plain. Like a meal where they forgot to add the spices. The big pile of raw meat next to the food didn't really help the ambiance either.
Read morePros: If you are stuck for a vegan meal, I guess., Reasonable price.
Cons: Not much flavor., Big pile of raw meat next to the food.

Delicious! - Edit
Cute little market stall type restaurant serving up delicious Ethiopian cuisine. The menu says 'vegetarian' but when I asked the owner said it was vegan. Tasted great and the price was right!

Simply authentic - Edit
Really nice home made lentil and vegetable Ethiopian options at this little restaurant alley in Cook St village off of McKenzie Street.
Read moreThe combination plate is all you need to fill you up with nutritious and healthy food = it has cabbage, spinach, potatoes/carrots and two types of slow cooked split lentils.
Just went back there today after a long time - I forgot how good it was! Pretty inexpensive as well and nice to support a family business.
Pros: Very tasty and filling, Slow cooked home made options, Inexpensive
