We were treated like family - Edit
The hostess couldn’t have been sweeter. She told us how to order to get the most veggies. We were disappointed when she said they were out of collard greens. When our order was ready she was excited to let us know that the cook made us greens! We got it “to go”. As it turns out we did NOT need to order extra bread but it was nice to have extra for later. All the veggies were absolutely delicious! My favorite was the cabbage and carrots, but I would order everything again without hesitation.

Unassumingly delicious - Edit
Casual dining. Super kind staff. A large well marked vegan section. (The vegan/vegetarian section is all vegan). Staff knows what vegan is.
Read moreThe food is delicious. Very well seasoned. I’m not usually a cabbage person, but the cabbage dish was absolutely delightful. The tea is very good as well.
Their website makes it hard to see their weekend hours, but they are open weekends. They have parking in front.
Pros: Taste (so yummy!), Multiple marked vegan options, Friendly staff

really good food - Edit
my family and i we're looking to eat out quickly with my grandma while my siblings were at their respective sports practices, and so i went to find somewhere close on here. mesob came up and sounded interesting so we went! it's almost completely hidden which is a shame because the food was really good. I had the shiro wot, and my non-vegan family had the other options that I can't quite remember. I had no complaints on the food, but the rest of my family felt that, while delicious, it was a little too spicy. also, they didn't give us silverware until we requested it, but i think that's because you are supposed to use the injera to spoon it from your plate. personally, my only complaint was the service. while lovely, the waitress was very timid and not very attentive. we had to call her over to ask for the silverware, like i said, and also with the check. We were worried that'd we'd have to get up and knock on the door ourselves because she kept disappearing in the back. She was perfect when we asked but not very attentive. Overall though, this place is absolutely lovely and the food is delicious. I am definitely going back, myself!

Solid Ethiopian food - Edit
Small restaurant in strip mall. We got two of the veg platters on shared family style plate. The ingera was OK, it lacked the sour dough taste I'm more familiar with, but the rest was spot on delicious. Even my picky 10 year old enjoyed the yellow lentils.

Delicious hidden treasure - Edit
We really enjoyed our meal, and will be back regularly. For a change I ordered rice as my starch instead of injera (which I've never done at an Ethiopian place), and I really liked it. Two other tables came in while we ate, and both ordered all vegan food too (including a dad and two young daughters), so it seems the word is out about how vegan-friendly Mesob is!

Vegan options a plus! - Edit
We had a vegan meetup here. 15 of us. The food was amazing and I wanted to order more for lunch the next day but we had bought it all! Bummer. So, we went back a week later and I was just as satisfied. Totally worth the money!

Decent Ethiopian to go - Edit
I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. I thought the inerja was alittle dried out but we called in the order as they were closing so that may have been why and there could have been more flavor to the 4 vegan dish combo we ordered. It satisfied and if I was driving through VB looking for a quick vegan meal I would eat there again.
Read morePros: Inexpensive ($13 for a 4 veggie combo) , To go order was ready quick!
Cons: Inerja was dried out , Not as flavorful as other restaurants

Amazing Ethiopian food - Edit
I had only had Ethiopian food once before Mesob, and I figured I should try this place before I leave the area soon. I’m so glad I did!! I think Ethiopian food may be my favorite.
Read moreI was the only patron in the restaurant at 2 pm on a Monday. I was served promptly. The waiter was helpful with confirming all of the vegetable sides are made vegan style and giving recommendations. The menu says the entrees come with 2 sides, but the waiter confirmed that is only for the meat entrees. I got the 4 vegetable entree. I highly recommend the mesir wot (lentil mixture).
The food here will not disappoint!
I was disappointed by the loose service hours they keep. A friend and I went to the restaurant for lunch on a Sunday but they weren’t open, although their website says they are on Sundays. I called ahead the next day to confirm they were open. I would recommend calling before you go, to ensure they’re open. I would have given them 5 stars if not for this issue.
Pros: Great food, Lots of vegan options, Knowledgeable waiters
Cons: Unreliable hours
