Very good ramen! - Edit
We had the vegan tantanmen ramen and both liked it very much! Broth was very good and the noodles were satisfying.
Read moreWe also had the vegan fried chicken,
what was a nice addon!
Just be aware that you often have to wait a long time in the line on the street. You are supposed to eat within 60min and every person has to get a ramen!
Pros: Very tasteful and satisfying, Great selection , Clearly labeled vegan options
Cons: Waiting time

Best Ramen Yet - Edit
There are 3 vegan ramen options: G.K.O. (Garlic Knockout), Tantanmen Ramen and Miso Ramen. Other than that there are only meat including Ramen bowls, as the 3 vegan ramen bowls are also the vegetarian ramen bowls.
Read moreI had the Tantanmen Ramen and they were the best ramen I ever had.
You have to wait a bit to be seated and everyone in your group has to actually order ramen, since the line is so long.
The staff was super friendly and quite literally made sure your glass of iced water never went empty.
Food was pricey compared to other ramen places, but considering the restaurant had Michelin awards and how great the Tantanmen was the prices are okay and absolutely worth it.
Pros: Explicitly declared great vegan options, Tantanmen Ramen, Friendly staff
Cons: Wait time, Dining time limited to 60 minutes per party, Pricey

Come early - Edit
Pro tip: avoid waiting for an hour by showing up 15 minutes before they open to be part of the first seating. 3 vegan ramen options: Garlic Knock-Out (GKO), tantanmen, and miso, all with a spicy option. Multiple topping options that you can also add on, like fried enoki chips, fried garlic flakes, and fried gobo (burdock). They also added vegan fried chicken to their vegan starter options: edamame, garlic edamame, enoki chips (normal or spicy), and corn wings.

My favorite ramen - Edit
I didn’t think this place would get approved by Happy Cow since there is only one vegan ramen option, but I’m glad it did because it has always been my favorite vegan ramen in the whole world. So rich and creamy and savory 😋

LOL! I added it (maybe you did too!?) and put in a case for it since it is a great, unique option that cannot be missed. My vegan friends called me the vegan ramen queen of SF when I lived there...have you also tried Hinodeya Ramen (they have two vegan options) and Orenchi Beyond?

Great vegan ramen! - Edit
Had the vegan ramen with broth. Delicious but spicy (I don’t tolerate spicy foods well). My teenage son loved it too. The staff was great and attentive. It’s a tiny spot with very limited seating.

Mensho Tokyo - Edit
They have delicious vegan ramen, but you have to wait in line for over an hour for it. The soup is always made consistently, and the broth is always creamy and well-flavored and the noodles are always cooked perfectly with perfect thickness. I'd dine here more often if there wasn't such a long wait. I also think the pricing is reasonable given the complexity of the ingredients and preparation, it will be rare to find this option anywhere else. Don't miss this place!

Delicious - Edit
I had never been here before and didn’t know what to expect. Very small place with group seating in long high top tables. They had two vegan options. One was a new menus item with tomatoes. I went with the traditional vegan ramen on the main menu. It was really great. I would definitely go back.
