Amazing Experience - Edit
We found out about this restaurant from this app. I was able to get a reservation with the view of the kitchen. The food was so incredibly delicious. What a great experience to sit and watch our food being prepped. We enjoyed speaking with the young man who was prepping the appetizers.

The most special and delicious meal we have had. - Edit
My girlfriend and I visited Men Impossible after a day in Amsterdam. It was the most special and delicious meal we have had together. Each course was introduced by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable chef in perfect English who described the process of making each course to us in detail.
Read moreThe meal began with a piece of paper and a pencil on which we chose our preference for each course from a regularly changing and curated menu. The highlights were the tempura vegan shrimp and the white truffle ramen, both of which were stunning. We helped ourselves to a selection of Japanese and Dutch beers from the fridge and green tea which was refilled whenever we nearly ran out.
We were pleasantly surprised by the homely atmosphere, being sat around one large table with several other groups in an intimate room, made it feel like we’d been invited into the home of a very talented chef!
We cannot recommend this restaurant enough, for the price of the set menu you get a huge selection of amazing vegan food and an overall incredible, friendly experience!
Pros: Entirely vegan, Innovative, Intimate Experience
Cons: Not next door to my house

Best-in-class Japanese cuisine - Edit
Communal dining table with rich in flavours chefs menu. There’s one separate table with an open kitchen view - so if you’re interested in how the food is prepared, choose that one. Only on reservation! You can choose between two sets which differs with starters - so if you’re coming as at least two people I recommend taking different ones and sharing😉one is tempura and one katsu - I couldn’t choose a winner while having some favourites within both 🤞 ramen is served in a surprising way - as a thick sauce you can’t stop eating! everything is being explained when served, what boosts the whole experience. There’s green tea and water on the table or you can order extra drinks. The place is very cosy and causal, while the food is truly exceptional. Everything is 100% plant based 🌱

Best ramen in Amsterdam - Edit
I love Men Impossible! The vibe and the atmosphere is as good as it gets. A tiny restaurant that only fits around 15 people, and thus it's really intimate. The food is super tasty too, and this is a place I always return to when I'm visiting Amsterdam 🫶🏻

So tasty! - Edit
I really truly enjoyed the food and the service but I wish the table wasn't that big with everyone seated at the same long table. It was impossible to speak to my 2 friends so I sat alone on the other side. The sound was also so loud and it was not pleasant for the ears... but the food was truly amazing.

Best food you can imagine - Edit
I have been blown away today, the food was literally the best I have ever eaten in my life. I didn’t know what to expect and I got to knew some new kinds of food. The flavours worked together so nicely, it was an explosion but not to much, more subtle- I can’t even describe it well, so I recommend that you try it yourself.
Read moreThere are 4 courses: cold Appetizers, warm Appetizers, main course (Ramen) and a dessert. You can choose from two different versions of the warm Appetizers and the sauce of the Ramen. I had the spicy version with red hot Chili pepper (I love spicy food) and it was really spicy but not too much for me, it was exactly the right amount, it didn’t build up and didn’t mask the other flavours. But if you don’t eat spicy regularly, I would rather not pick the spicy version, if I were you.
The price is absolutely fair.
The staff is really lovely.

Unique Ramen - Edit
I had reservations to visit this place prior the pandemic but I had to cancel them. Happy I was able to finally make it. I had the tempura course which came with hot and cold appetizers. The ramen I ordered was the burnt garlic and it was amazing. Their ramen is sauce based as a opposed to soup base. This is something I’ve never tried before and I loved it. It was so flavorful. I would love to have more sauce based ramen in my life.

Best tast ever. - Edit
Last year my brother told me I had to go here when I was staying in Holland, but I didn't (fool I am). Now we go almost every week once (unfortunately next weekend is the last time, for now😄). I will never forget the first bite of the ramen bowl. The tast was incredible. I only have eaten ramen once, so I can’t compare, but I eat a lot in vegan restaurants and this is now one of my favorite restaurants.
Read moreWe have tried both lunch and dinner and both are highly recommended. Unfortunately I can't recommend any of the sauces as I love them all. If you like a bit spicy, order the extra super spicy! You get this separately and then you can make it as spicy as you like. Even if you only add a little bit, your ramen will immediately taste very different (I thought it couldn't get any better, but it could!)
(my two friends who aren’t vegan also loved this place and have been here themselfs.)

Amazing experience! - Edit
This is definitely not your usual dinner experience. The restaurant only has one room which contains the kitchen and a long table where all the guests (maximum 16) sit. I went there for dinner with one other person and we got seated next to rather than opposite of each other.
Read moreFood-wise there's not much to choose from. For dinner there are two set menus that are nearly identical. You choose between tempura or katsu and what kind of sauce you want for the ramen. The tempura is more fried and the katsu a bit more meat-like. I enjoyed both. Unless you eat A LOT you don't need to get extra noodles. I did and it was too much for me.
The drinks are self-service and you get them from fridges in the room. There was one European beer, three Japanese beer, sake and a few other kinds of alcohol. I can recommend getting the sake; it tasted great and made the experience much more fun.
The service was relaxed and friendly. I really liked that the staff used Japanese phrases when giving us our dishes and clearing the table.
Everything tasted great but the highlight for me was definitely the ramen. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Amazing experience - I will definitely make sure to pay another visit next time I'm in town!

Absolutely delicious noodles with loads of flavours. - Edit
Small restaurant operated by 2 Japanese chefs in an open kitchen. The main course is only different flavour ‘men’ or ramen without the broth. The combination of ingredients and flavours are delicious. Reservation only or take out

Perfect little place to eat - Edit
Wow! One of the most delicious and memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had. They have a very small menu, which is usually a good sign and we were not disappointed. Both cold and warm starters were so delicate and delicious. Then came the ramen (sauce based) with hand made noodles and fresh ingredients and it was out of this world. Water and tea are included in the menu as well but other beverages including alcohol are available. If we were staying in Amsterdam longer we’d be back to try all the ramen options.

Cons: Toilets could do with freshening up design-wise.

Fantastic Experience - Edit
Men Impossible absolutely lives up to the hype that surrounds it.
Read moreBoth the chef and the waitress are very warm and polite which makes you feel like you are invited to their home. This atmosphere is enhanced by the fact that all diners sit at the same table which is a cool way of getting to know new people.
Everyone gets the same cold starters, but for the warm starters you can choose between tempura and katsu. For the ramen you can choose between different sauces. The white super garlic one is absolutely delicious.
The dessert is then the same again for everyone. Overall, such a simple setup with such a tasty outcome and a wonderful experience. Just goes to show that you don't have to offer 15 different items on the menu or complicate things.
Absolutely recommend heading here and will definitely come back myself.

Absolutely amazing ramen, not expensive. - Edit
Possibly the best ramen I've had, only one large table and two cooks, could have been three times as expensive and I wouldn't have been surprised. Free tea, options of soup and sauce ramen, which I cannot stress enough how good it was. Booking required, but I would very much recommend doing so.
