Not truly dairy free - Edit
Cute place. Lots of flavors. Has 2 “dairy-free” options but when I asked if they had a designated scoop they said they use the same as the dairy so kind of defeats the purpose.

Didn’t Eat, but Vegan Options & Busy - Edit
We called ahead for vegan options - there was two at the time, a pina colada one and some type of chocolate one.
Read moreWhen we arrived the line was down the block, busier than any shop on the street by far. Didn’t get to try but would have come back another day if it wasn’t so busy!
Pros: Vegan Options, Answered Phone, Good Location
Cons: Busy during Summer, Didn’t want to wait over an hour for ice cream, No room for sitting since it’s so busy

Two Flavors! - Edit
Cute place with two vegan homemade flavors. Today is as mint chip and chocolate Oreo. The Oreo was very good! Hot fudge and waffle cones contain dairy.

Vegan desert in a vegan food desert - Edit
Melt had one vegan flavor, chocolate and nothing else. I've read other reviews claiming that they commit to having two vegan flavors each day but on this particular afternoon they only had one. While this is somewhat sad I can't deny that I am completely grateful and appreciative of the fact that Melt commits to having a vegan offering. Myrtle Beach doesn't have vegetarian restaurants let alone anything for vegans, it isn't a place like NYC or San Fran which is abundant in vegan options. Discovering that there was a spot that I could enjoy a vegan desert in Myrtle Beach was truly a blessing. The chocolate flavor tasted great and brought a smile to my face.

Melt! - Edit
We stopped at Melt for their vegan ice cream - the line was long, so we called to make sure it was still available. It was well worth the weight, and the lemon poppyseed flavor was AMAZING! With the chocolate Oreo flavor, you could definitely taste the coconut base, but it was still great overall!

Friendly vegan forward they let you know that waffle cone has milk powder in it WHY I DON’T KNOW LOL. Ice cream made from coconut milk for creamy texture so if your not a fan ……..

Great vegan options - Edit
It was a great place. While there they only had chocolate available, but it was great. Some ice creams are house-made, including the vegan ones. Keep in mind the waffle cone is not vegan. I accidentally requested it initially and the owner was kind enough to make sure I knew it was not.

Yay vegan ice cream. - Edit
A review said they always have a vegan option so I made to sure check it out.
Read moreToday's choices were chocolate or chocolate oreo. I don't like chocolate so that was a little repetitive but I wanted to support vegan options so got the oreo.
The ice cream is nice and smooth, not icy. Possibly coconut milk but done well, as I'm not really too fond of coconut milk ice cream.
Note: The cones are NOT vegan (he said they contain butter)
Pros: Always have at least two vegan ice creams.

good option in a vegan dessert desert - Edit
Myrtle Beach doesn’t have much in the way of vegan desserts so I was super happy to see Melt had something! Vegan options aren’t on the sign but they will tell you what vegan ones they have that day if asked. I had the double chocolate and it was great! On par with most mainstream vegan chocolate coconut milk ice creams like Coconut Bliss.

Amazing creamy vegan ice cream - Edit
Amazing homemade ice creams, even a vegan flavor or two! Staff is super nice. You can tell they really take pride in their ice cream. I'm allergic to dairy, so I had their vegan flavor of the day, lemon poppyseed ice cream. So amazing! Super creamy, perfectly balanced flavor. Fyi, the waffle cones are not vegan. I'm definitely coming back!

Cons: Waffle cones not vegan, Limited seating

Have a family member who is vegan. Any ice cream place is a shared surface facility(wheat, dairy, nuts etc...). Unless their product is made in a controlled environment, which it’s not then they are not vegan. Same machines they make their ice cream in are the same machines they make their vegan ice cream in. They should be calling themselves non dairy as any other ice cream shop does

Yum! - Edit
I had the coconut-based mint chocolate chip which was delicious. They were conscious not to offer the standard “waffle cone chip” as it is not vegan. Sorry no photo of the ice cream.
