Delicious Pies - Edit
Created my own pie with veggies and added seitan. Uses vegan cheese. Very delicious. Would definitely return when in Houston area. Also has expansive beer selection.

big, fluffy pizza - Edit
Overall, this place is very vegan friendly & the pizza is good. It's not deep-dish, but is reminiscent with fat, soft crust & generous sauce. They have veggies, tempeh, tofu & vegan cheese. I really enjoyed my pizza with tempeh, onions, banana peppers, spinach & vegan cheese.
Read moreMy only complaint is that they use Vegan Gourmet (by Follow Your Heart), which was the best vegan cheese of 2002, but, to my mind, doesn't really compare to Daiya (2007?) or any of the artisinal vegan cheeses of this decade (the 2010s). Vegan Gourmet has a slightly chalky taste, but it's significantly better than Teese when cooked (Teese mozzarella is my least favorite, it has no flavor when cooked, cheese consistency & calories but zero flavor).
Pros: vegan-friendly, Good (soft) crust, nice sauce
Cons: A little pricey for toppings, no vegan specialty pizza on menu , currently used Vegan Gourmet

Loved it! - Edit
Like the other reviewer, my waitress was helpful with vegan options. The pizza was great and had a really tasty crust. They have daiya cheese, lots of veg toppings, and tofu and tempeh protien toppings. There are a lot of different tofu flavors, though unfortunately, they're not all vegan (looking at you, buffalo tofu).
Read moreI'd definitely recommend this place. They feel a little pricey, but worth it.

Love this place! - Edit
I really love how both waiters I have had the 2 times I've eaten here are very aware of vegan friendly options and substitutes. You can order their veg out or other types of pizza and request it "vegan style" with daiya cheese and use of no butter on the Crust. They also have a gluten Free thin crust option with an ancient grains type of Crust. There are 2 appetizers that are vegan or can be made vegan...the hummus is vegan and the bruschetta can be made vegan by subbing vegan cheese. The Bruschetta is AWESOME! Also, they have some really good marinated tempeh to use as a pizza topping and even have a Tempeh or tofu sandwich option in a pita or sub style. Their tempeh is really good (it was my first time trying tempeh though do nothing to compare to). There didn't look like there were any vegan dessert options however right next door, connected to mellow Mushroom, is Moody Ice which excellent vegan water ice. The girls that work there are super knowledgeable on vegan options.
Read moreLast but not least, Mellow Mushroom labels "V" on the menu but their "V" is vegan/vegetarian-lacto-ovo. Again, just be sure to ask them to sub with Daiya chesse or make vegan style and they will know the importance of it. :)
Pros: Excellent Menu, Servers are knowledgeable on what "vegan" means, Fun restaurant and decor
Cons: None
